MummyEm

Slowly but surely!
Hi Guys

I am going on my first night out tomorrow since loosing the weight, ordered myself some brand new shoes and skinny jeans :) I was really looking forward to it until I tried on my outfit last night and my arms (bingo wings) are gross! I spent all night crying and I am now going to wear a long sleeved baggy top just like I used to so not looking forward to it anymore

Has anyone who has lost weight had this problem? Please tell me it will get better, with my arms, tummy and books looking like an 90 year old its really getting me down :cry:

Oh Mummyem

i feel for you as my arms are flabby too, left over legacy from when i was 22 stone.
one good thing is that at the moment bat wing tops are massively in fashion or sometimes if i want to wear something snug, i wear a little shrug.

there was a lovely lacey one on GMTV this morning and Dorothy perkins have some lovely ones as well.

funnily enough even though i hate my arms.....in 4 years since i lost the majority of the work no one has EVER commented on them :)

i also use free weights most days to try to get them better

chin up, don't let it ruin your day :)

i wear a little shrug.

Shrugs are lifesavers!! I have loads!:D
And no-one will be looking at your arms, they'll be gawping at your skinny ass! LOL!;)

I agree with all of the above!!! A little shug hides the flabby bits, so just keep your chin up, girl, you have done amazingly well, I'm sure we will all have some toning up to do after dropping the weight, but try and focus on your new, trim bod! Have a great time!

Thanks everyone, I know it silly but I have never been able to just go out in a little strappy top and id love to! I was thinking for the first summer in years id be able to wear vests and not bake lol Maybe next year!

Nice little cardigans work a treat!!! I have about 10 ha ha ha dont worry not everyone looks like the models in the catalogues me included!!!!!! xxxxx

Shrugs are magic. I wear them all the time with strappy tops. They show off your best bits and hide the worst. I love 'em, love 'em, love 'em. Newlook normally have loads in or Monsoon, but they can be a bit pricey in there.

Ebay, ebay, ebay!!! I never pay more than £5 for them!

Next have some lovely bright tops tht have little capped sleeves which i love and dont show my bingo wings (which are awful) x

Have a fab night out and dont worry. Everyone has their insecurites. I still cant wear strappy tops because i am very concsious of what I look like I think we are more critical of ourselves than others. I think you will tone up eventually. I dont know if im used to the loose skin or whether its improved i hope the latter. I think it will take time. Dont let it get you down have a fab night :)

Yup

Shrugs, Bat wing tops, or there are like things that are similar to tights you can get to put on your arms

Awwww mummyem :hug99:

I have the same problem - whilst i feel great having lost 4st im going out on the 2nd for a booze cruise (obviously not drinking!) so i indulged in some new jeans and a short sleeved top - decided i didnt like my arms just yet and went and bought a cute little cardi/bolero thing from sainsburys - it was only £12.

How about something like that?

:hug99: hope you perk up soon chicken xxx

you will be fine. You are looking at yourself differently than everyone else. Chin up, you have done so well.
