Thinking of coming off LL

Hi well as most of you know I've been really struggling with this for a while now and I've come to the conclusion that mentally it's doing me more harm than good. For this reason I've decided to stop and try and do this on my own for a while, I won't be doing RTM and I know some people will disagree with this but right now I need to think about what will be right for me mentally.

I'll still pop on and off and see how everyones doing but for now I just can't continue like this.

Thanks everyone for your support over the past few months :D

FYM - you sound like you need some hugs :hug99:.

Although I firmly believe that complete abstinence followed by controlled reintroduction of food is the way to success, I understand that staying 100% with the programme is a major struggle for some and we have seen some examples of this on this forum.

You have to do what is right for you. You know the issues you have been having and if moving to something different is what you need, then do so. There is no point being miserable and stressed and feeling a constant failure. We all need to feel good about ourselves.

Good luck Emma. Let us know how you are getting on. xx

I'm sorry you feel like that Emma :hug99::grouphugg:

You really have to do what is right for you and if that means stopping LL then that is what you should do. There is no point in throwing good money after bad at something that you are not commiting to 100%.

I must admit I have really struggled with this diet (mainly due to lapsing) but I am now on track and vow to never lapse again as I just can not afford it weight wise and money wise.

Good luck in whatever you decide to do.

Keep in touch x x

All the best FYM, I too have been struggling and thinking along the same lines as you, decided to give it one last shot and be really, REALLY forceful with myself to get this thing finished, but RTM is calling my name and I really just want to be getting on with my proper life now and not just thinking about LL all the time.

Hope you manage on your own, remember we're here if you need us! :)

FYM - you need to do what's best for YOU. Don't forget that you are your motivation and you must be true to yourself and happy with whatever decisions you make.

You always seemed so focussed when I was starting out in January and I'm sorry that you've been struggling recently. Good luck with the reintroduction of f##d, and keep in touch.

In any event, when/if you feel ready again I'm sure LL, or any number of other options will still be available to you.

Good luck Emma.

I won;t try to talk you into RTM - that is a personal choice....but I will caution you - you might want to look at the thread in the stickys on the RTM forum to see what order to reintroduce specific foods back.

It would be a real shame to throw away all your hard work and successes by just returning to eating 'whatever', even low calorie and lowfat, etc., as it could have a sudden affect on your loss.

Saying that, wishing you all the luck to find the piece that is stopping you from carrying on. Once you find, address, own and process that - I belive you will be free to do foryou whatever you want.

Good luck hon.

Good luck, I stopped and did it alone after 12 weeks as I could not afford to carry on. Luckily I lost all the weight I wanted to during the 12 weeks.
Since December I have managed to maintain my weight and have even lost another couple of lbs.
Good luck with it all and take care of yourself.
xx
