Just found this website & hope you can help me!

It's my second week on cambridge, was all going well but i've just had my weigh in & I haven't even lost a pound this week! I don't understand it - I have followed the SS exactly & have not cheated once!

I have a dog which gets walked for at least 1.5 hours every day & a 9 month old baby so it's not as if i'm sat down all day either!

Can anyone inspire me? Also, i'm so tired i'm struggling to see straight.

Thanks everyone & well done on your weight losses! xx

Hey Kaz...
Just wanted to say well done for getting to week two on cd.......
You have done so well.. Our bodies work in different ways and I am sure if you did not lose anything this week you will have a great loss next week!!! i know it must have been disappointing for you at wi but if you are following the ss plan it will 100% come off it has too..
Hang in there and dont give up as your doing so well and it will come off...
Are you drinking lots of water too they suggest 4 pints I try and drink at least 3 to 4 litres a day...
Good luck and hang in there x

Kaz
I have done this diet once before & like you lost NOTHING the first week... However I decided that the scales WERENT going to win, no whayyyyyyyyyy! You know that there could be lots and lots of water retention etc - hang in there for the 2nd WI & I think, like me you'll be in tears... OF JOY!

I am also a much slower loser than most people, BUT get your tape measure out and see if there's a difference there. Also at my TOTM I never lose a thing and had more STS weeks than I care to remember. However it gives me the experience to tell you dont give it up hun xx xx xx

You will lose weight if on CD , its best to carry on with it .

Well done for sticking with it thus far! Drink more water and before you know it it will start falling off you. Have you checked you are in ketosis?

Hi Kaz,

Do I recognise you fro another board at all? I have a 9mth old too, July 08?

Anyway, don't give up hun. It could be all the excersise that's causing the slow weight loss, have you measured yourself to see if you are losing inches rather than lbs?

I've felt like giving up a few times too but I just think that I am always saying to myself I wish I had started a diet months ago then I wouldn't be this weight now. I know if I cam off this I would be sitting in a few months time the same weight or heavier and wishing that I had kept up the diet!

How much did you lose last week? Bet it was a lot. :D

It's quite common for week 2 losses to be minimal. You will in fact have lost weight, but your body's trying to compensate by hanging on to water, so the scales are lying!

This is one of those occasions where weighing in weekly can do your head in. No matter what the scales say, average out your weight loss by totalling the number of pounds you've lost altogether so far and dividing it by the number of weeks you've been on CD.

There, does that sound better? :)

Keep your chin up - you're doing great. Well done for sticking with it 100%.

Hi Kaz,

I am exactly the same I lost 12.5lb in my first week and had my second weigh in last night and lost 1/4lb. I am so frustrated and annoyed. But........it has to be impossible that we're not eating and only doing SS and not losing weight. I am hanging in too and hoping for a loss next week. I have too started exercising this week and wondered if maybe that why it hasnt shown but time will tell. How much did you lose your first week?

Keep up the hard work...it will be worth it?? x

I lost 20 lbs in my first week and only 3 in my second-I was gutted-but I lost 5 the week after so it will even out.Whatever you lost last week, you'd probably have been thrilled to lose that over 2 weeks on any other diet-and I bet you have a great weight loss next week.

Thanks ladies, it's nice to know that others have been in the same boat. I lost 13 lb in the first week & I was so pleased so today was just a bit of a blow! Feeling better about it now though so thankyou all!

Dreamer, like you said we must be losing weight!

Gillian, yip your are right - well spotted! How's you're LO?

13lb in the first week was wonderful! I bet next week you will have a decent loss too.

My little one is really good, hard work but worth it.
