Aaaarghhh! 2 days in & I'm failing already!

Why? There's just too much darn chocolate left in the house from Easter :copon:! I blew it yesterday and I've just eaten another chunk of chocolate bunny :17729:. I have no self-control when it comes to chocolate. 2 days on SW with both days a disaster - at this rate I will have gained in my first week, not lost!!!

Just start over. Try to be good for the rest of the day and eat free foods. I hate to say it, but I threw some of my kids chocolate in the garbage so I wouldn't eat it :-( Truth be told they got so much they didn't need all of it either!

Poor you!

I know it's difficult when there's lots of naughty things in the house - my best advice is just slowly get through it (if that's possible!) and accept that your losses might be a bit less in the next few weeks, and once it's all gone, they'll be amazing!

Don't let it ruin your whole week - you still have 5 days left to be great :)

A really good tip from a fellow SW mate is to get a tin, put in a set number's worth of syns in the way of treats for your week (maybe 50-70), and just try and eat out of that tin all week. You then have the choice to a) eat it all in one sitting, or b) make it last!

Good luck - I still haven't touched my easter egg but have WI tonight, so holding on until after then!

I ha a blow out yesterday after weigh in. I have nibbled a little choc today, but on the whole been pretty good. Just start fresh tomorrow with a 100% on plan week and good luck!

Paperclip. That is a great idea! I may try that! x

I've brought my daughter's easter eggs to work. She's only 2 and had waaaaaaaay too many of them so I picked 2 for her to keep and am giving the rest to work!

You've not ruined anything - well done for picking this week to be your first week! That's admirable and a tall order. Just be glad you're following SW - even if it's only a little bit or 50% then it's better than nothing and better than what you would have eaten had you not joined this week!

Give yourself a pat on the back!

((hugs) I know how you feel!! You are doing great though, and easter is a tough time to start. You haven't failed at all, just start over at the next meal :D and I'm sure you will lose in your 1st week. It's only 2 days in.

Can you think of any positive changes you have made in the 2 days you have been on SW? Maybe swapped white bread for brown, sugar for sweetner, butter for spread, sugar drinks for NAS - even one or two little things like this will be making a difference already.

So maybe you have had a bit more chocolate than you can count within your 15 syns but I think everyone is struggling with so much chocolate around at the moment regardless of whether it's your 1st week on SW or your 5th year.

Don't beat yourself up over it - draw a line under it and start again.

All you can do is try - I bet it's taken years to set your eating habits to how they are now so don't expect to change them again over night. SW is a plan for life and needs to be learnt - you can't expect to be 100% from day one and neither do you have to be to get good results.

If you fancy choc have a highlites ,,, that what I do and count it a syns that are low or have nutella on scan bran they are 4 syns a slice and taste like those forriera Roches thingys....

Dust your self off and start again,,,,,, come you can do it

I can't beat the advice given but want to send hugs. Don't worry, you haven't "ruined" anything. Everyone can blip now and then, it's getting back on the straight and narrow that counts.

Cut back on your syns for the rest of the week, acknowledge the choccie (don't just forget it) and just start afresh from today.

Each day is a new start.

You can do it, girl!

Stacey's right. Following the plan some of the time is better than not at all. I've only had 4 days 'on plan' this week. And today is my WI day. But 4 weeks ago, before I joined, I didn't have any days on plan. Just start again tomorrow. Don't try and starve yourself because you've had a cuople of naughty days. That defeats the point. Just get back on plan as soon as you can.

Personally, I have touched any chocolate, becasue 1) nonone got me any =( and 2) I can take it or leave it right now.

Divide the choccy up into little counted syn bags, be it 5 or 10 or whatever you want, and treat yourself but count it.

The thing with easter eggs is that you can eat sooooo much in a short space of time and not realise just how many syns there are.

If you bag it up, you know what you are having, you can have some every day, enjoy your treat and still lose weight!

You can do it, stick with the plan and the weight will fall off.

I did this with a 1KG bar of cdm I had left over from xmas. I weighed out 7 1/2 syns worth (4 squares if you are interested :p) and wrapped them in tin foil.

This way I know what i can have and can count it.

Well, today I'm doing red, and so far surviving (had quark, muesli, tuna, babybel lights & apples so far - dinner will be a chicken salad and I have fruit cocktail for when The Apprentice is on (I'm a telly-watching snacker!). I have 100+ sugar roses to make for an upcoming wedding cake, so that'll be keeping my hands & mind occupied for several nights to come lol!

I like the tin idea, but I'm going to do my own twist by printing the numbers 1-70 on the back of my food diary (for a week's syn allowance), and then cross them off as I use them. So I can use them on what I want when I choose, but it just seems a bigger number and when they run out, they run out! I'm used to doing WW and I think that tiny number of 10 a day freaks me out a bit!

OK, off to bake 4 cakes for weekend orders (oh yeah, my job make this diet m'larky a nightmare too!).

I have done the crossing off from 70. It does work! :)
