Intro from Newbie!

Hi Everyone :)

I've been reading the forum since I started last Wednesday and it's really helped....so I thought it about time that I register and start contributing.

I'm on day 6 of SS and coping okay. I haven't been hungry once since starting; the only thing that I struggle with is fantasising about food (adverts on telly do not help).

I am aiming to lose about 4 stone to take me down to 10 stone and a size 10. I lost that last year on the diet, but it all went to pot when I gave up smoking and then had an accident. I'm fit and well now though, so eager to fit into all my old clothes!

Just wanted to wish you luck on your cd journey.. Sounds like you are doing really well. I know what you mean about thinking about food .. i was like that at first but that feeling kind of wares a way after a while.
Its a fab diet and espeically as you see the loss quite quickly makes you feel so good..

Welcome to Minimins... glad your first few days into Ketosis was painless!
Look forward to your first weigh in and make a post every time a food ad comes on.....
I actually laughed hysterically yesterday at one ad, my little boy thought i was mad.... but it was this ad about chocolate covered biscuit sticks!!
I thought if I was a chocoholic those sticks would so not tempt me... what a waste of time making them and what a waste of money us buying them!

Thanks for the encouraging words Curly. I'm taking it one day at a time and drinking loads!

Yesterday my OH and I decorated from 9am till 5pm without so much as as break for a cuppa. Was feeling so hungry after that and think it was down to the lack of water. I'll be more careful in future in avoiding the pitfalls :D
 
:welcome: to minimins hun, best of luck with cd im sure you will be grand youve done it before and can do it again. have you checked out the inspirational slideshow on here? its fab :)
 
Thanks MissCheeky and Tilly. So completely agree about the chocolate ads. I can take or leave chocolate and crisps, so am okay with them. I need to watch out for fast food ones!

I remember last time round I became obsessed with watching cookery programmes though - very strange :D
Not sure I could cope with that in the first week.

Had a good read through of the slide show and it's fab. So great to see so many success stories.

I've used that as inspiration and I've also hung a pair of jeans and my favourite dress outside my wardrobe. THEY WILL BE MINE :p

At the moment I'm wondering how much it would cost to have a catheter fitted - I'm getting so much exercise nipping to the loo there'll be nothing left of me soon :eek:
