Off Topic: Hair products :D

Blonde Logic

Yes. You can.
Hey ladies...

Can anyone reccomend a good 'hair protector' for using with flatirons?

I have been using Tres Semme, which is good, but it means spaaying each bit of hair as you go.

Is there any products you can spray on your hair when its wet, then dry and style?

Or do you always have to spray dry hair before ironing?

I'm out of the loop with good products these days, so wonder if anyone has any good tips?

Thanks!

xx

Not the right person to respond I'm afraid - but having had my straight hair (so I thought!) straightened last time I was at the hairdressers, I'm interested in knowing more. It looked great for a day or two!!

Hiya girls. Well to be honest straightening with irons is hugely damaging to the hair. I have been a hairdresser for many years and do not go in for the 'ironed' straight look as people really do get addicted to ironing their hair. The amount of people I see with broken to bugger hair :-(.
But if your really must then I would reccommend good overall hair repair work. Starting with a good (Goldwell) restructuring shampoo and conditioner (you wont believe how important this is!!) then you need to use a heat protector spray....sorry BL there is no other way of doing this other than spraying hair bit by bit!!! The base work will really help protect your locks but the heat protector is really only a wee bit helpful. Straight hair is very high maintainence Im afraid. I say celebrate the curls!!!
Most people with curly/wavy hair say they straighten it because when their hair is wet is looks really nice with the curl or the wave but as soon as it drys it goes very frizzy. Well the answer to that is wash your hair and towel dry. Add a generous amount of pantene curl defining mousse and leave to dry natually. Occassionally massaging the curls to stop hair becoming crunchy when dry. You will be amazed!!!
Trust me I know about this stuff...I am a fellow sheep head ;-)

Thanks for the advice lisa. Maybe I should just leave it at the one experience

I do like the pink locks in your avatar :p, but I guess colour is just as bad?
