and am feeling great! Had a friend over for lunch yesterday with her 2 boys. Emma and them wanted pasta and garlic bread. Made that for them and had made spanish chicken for us two. Had a tin of tomatoes in it, but it was just FAB! Also made stir fried sweetheart cabbage and brocoli with garlic and a wee tot of butter - delicious - even my friend (stick thin can eat what she wants!! said it was best veg she'd ever eaten) Had no garlic bread or anything not on atkins as I was so satisfied with what I had.
Jim - had pork and herb sausages this morning - delish! :D:D:D:D

Hi Emmasmum

We are a similar height and weight and I also notice that we have the same goal. I started my low carb/atkins diet on the 7th April too. Spooky coincidences!

I will be following your progress with interest. Good luck!

Edit: I have just noticed that you have already lost some weight so you are quite a bit lighter than me actually! Well done on your loss so far :)

Yes, did w8 for a couple of months before switching to this. Am really ennjoying having food. Let's see how we get on!

Morning!

Sounds like a great start to me. I love the sausages too. :D

Not so good at weekend!! - see 'what are we eating today' Away to get my hair cut in the hope that it will show on the scales! lol

i read that bit, it happens, not a good time to start maybe. :D

Yes put it behind you and move forward from here.

I did think about it before I started last week, but felt that there are always reasons to put it off. I may have been a lot worse if I hadn't started then as it's also my birthday on Friday of this week. Just didn't want to put it off. I may not have had a perfect start, but am on the path.

LOL, a birthday to contend with as well. Good timing, LMAO.

aahh Jim. I'm a trier! Am trying to think of something that I'd really like to eat on Friday - low carb of course! I think I'll manage the food this time but I wouldn't swear to it on alcohol. Well, 1 out of 2 aint bad.
Was thinking of lobster with garlic butter ( with champane of course)

I don't know what's happened to my typing skills since joining this forum, but they have gone way downhill. CHAMPAGNE , LAMB CHOPS etc etc

LOL,

Lobster is dirt cheap at Lidl love, did you know that?

Yes, I've seen it there. I think I have at least one in the freezer. Must go and rummage before then! That sounds decadent enough for a birthday don't you think?

Yep, certainly is, unless you already live a champagne and Lobster lifestyle of course.
