Hi everyone! Sorry it's yukky where you are Curly, sun is shining here and it's properly WARM... this doesn't happen often where I live!!! Gonna get out and do some gardening to make the most of it. Got some plants on monday then had rain all week! Still... potty training, huh? Big hugs honey!!!
Sparkles, can't wait to hear about the car!
Jessica, you are doing really well - I know what you & Purple mean about stalling at a certain weight though. I did, big style, soon as I hit the 12s... it seemed to take forever to get past that and though I was determined not to give up I did bend the rules a lot and obviously that didn't help! You're so right about the things we tell ourselves to justify a cheat or to convince ourselves we can stop midway to goal. You are wise to all that now honey, so you're gonna get there!
Purple, have missed you on the threads this week, great to see you back. Sorry you've had a tricky time... try to see it as a learning experience and use it to get back on the wagon and focus again. You can do this, you know you can. Might be remembering wrong but did you get a small loss last time? If this has de-motivated you, hang on in there. I have had this for months now... 1lb loss or 1/2lb, or no loss at all... and it does get to you. You wonder if it's worth it, kid yourself that things are slowing down so a bite of quiche or whatever won't matter... and obviously it slows things even more. But I think that sometimes the body needs time to adjust to the weight shed and also to gear up a bit metabolism wise, and those weeks are a kind of plateau. And then, if you can hang on and keep going, you get a drop. I lost 5lb this week after weeks of sts or tiny losses, and that is good for 810. Was so glad I hadn't given in. If I can do it you can do it. Keep on track, and keep checking in or PM if you need moral support. We won't let you jump off that wagon again! Hugs,
xxx
