Hi all went to get a new pill yesterday went to like a contraceptive place called the abacus as my drs are awful an i couldnt get an appointment,,,,now ive been on the combined pilled tried about 4 diff once since the age of 19 (im now 23) when i got my BP checked i was raised so i told the nurse its always like that on my first reading......she tried it again at the end of a 40 min talk an it was fine,,,,but because of my high BP an the fact both my parents have high chlorestrol they suggested for my to try cerazette a mini pill has anyone tried this before??
Ive got a 3 month supply so going to see how it goes but wondered if anyone had any experiences good or bad from it!
Thanks xx

Am sorry chick but i cant help much on the pill front as i cant remember which one i was on it was so long ago! lol

Have you thought of any other method besides a pill?

I have the implant and swear by it - although at the min i have had a period for nearly 5 weeks straight - not sure whether its related to LT or because its due to be changed! lol

Im sure someone who knows will be along soon though ... :)

she was talking bout the implant to me but couldnt do it there an then so the mini pill it was! i hope i dont bleed all the time as ive only just got my sex drive back (was on anti depressents for 8 months am decided to come off them an bk came my sex drive) so id b pretty upset an so would my poor bf if i was on all the time! plus when im on the combined pill i run two packs together when im going away on hol so i dont come on an you cant do that with this coz u take it permently lol!!

lol very true about the holiday thing - it never bothered me as i hadnt had them for about 3 years!!

shame! your poor bf! lol Atleast ya know he loves you for you and isnt just after the you know what ;) hehe very sweet of him to stick by you isnt it :D

See how you fair on these pills then if you end up not liking them or they dont agree with you try something else - all about trial and error hehe :) xx

Hi Ive tried cervazette its not too bad. A few friends have been on it and have actually lost weight. However that as not happened for me. On cervazette I have not had a period for a few months which concerned me but apparently that is normal. But when you do it can be quite heavy, also my boobs are now alot bigger.
Have you considered the copper IUD its not got any hormones in it and will not affect your sex drive and you wont get any nasty moods swings. Speak to a family planning clinic and they should be able to give you all the advice you need.
Hope this helps

thamks summergurl an beckym!
beckym i dont think i could cope with my boobs going any bigger ive already gone from a DD to a G after loosing weight on my back lol!! The heavy periods dont bother me that much as there heavy anyways!
Im going to try these for 3 months or watever an see what happens if not going to seriously look into other things!

I was on the mini pill and I got pregnant on it lol I now have a coil and its great, light periods and no weight gain. Im sure it will be ok for you though I just would never trust the pill again :)

summergurl u can have half of mine! i dont want to be this big :(
oooo mummyem hope i dont get preg on it haha! thats it a sex ban! lol!!

OOOOhhhh thanks clare!! haha

The coil - are you allowed that at any age?

hmmmmmm the coil - i may look into that rather than my implant ... :)

I've got one of those Mirena coils and it's the best thing I've ever done. Up until coming on to this diet TOTM was a thing of the past, I had no symptoms whatsoever, bliss. Even now they're really light. I just wish I'd had it fitted years ago and skipped all that suffering.

It wasn't that bad to be honest and I have a really low pain threshold. I took a couple of nurofen before I went.

Another coil convert. I was put on it after ds was born as the pill gave me terrible headaches.

Again until this diet, I didn't really have totm and again it's been very light.

It was uncomfortable getting it fitted - just like bad period cramps and I did have very light bleeding for about 5 months but fantastic since then.

It lasts for 5 years so you don't really have to think about it.
