Tetra question

Hi everyone,

If you have 2 tetras a day but have them as milk in coffee does this make a difference to the effectiveness of the vitamins and minerals in the diet? My gastric band has tightened up in the last few days and it seems the only way I can get my meals in.

I know you shouldn't cook your packs hence my concern.

Thanks guys :)

Oh that's good! I quite fancy trying that myself, I really miss my coffee and I can't take it black. Might try a bit of choc tetra as milk in it to go with a bar today! Yum!

I used to have half a choc tetra in my massive filter coffee in the morning. Loved it. Then would have the other half 'neat' min morning.

Made it go much further as tetras are so 'diddy'.

Really missed that when I had finished the diet.

Choc tetra's are lurverly in coffee :) That's what i do when i'm doing the SS+ food option for a week as can't stand black coffee and when working shifts coffee is a must for me! Makes it like a Mocha.. mmm.. Mocha.. x

That's a good idea, going to give it a try this morning and leave half for later on with the choc bar! Oooh I can't wait, i've been dreaming of coffee and choc lol!

Laura what a good idea, think i may have one for lunch hope you are ok X X X

Hiya Lin,

Just walked the dog and now off to the zoo. At least it keeps my mind off food!

Well done on yesterday, you are doing brilliantly. Can't wait to see you, and it will be great to do it together.

Hiya :)

I have had my band for coming up 3 years now. The first year was great, lost over 8 stone but the last 2 years I stopped losing and started to gain a bit. I decided the cambridge would be the way to go as I pretty much lived on liquids anyway. Trouble was I replaced one bad habit with another and consumed tons of calorie laden liquids, home made soup with a ton of cheese and cream, lattes, ice-cream etc.

I thought the cambridge would give me a kick start again and so far it has. I weighed in at 14st 11lbs this morning so half a stone away from my lowest band weight. I often wish I had gone for the bypass or ds instead but hey-ho.

How have you found 6 years with a band? Have your losses been good? People often say that having surgery is the easy way out, how wrong they are, hardest thing I've ever done!
