I am hoping you can all help me out. My friend (Katdec21) is rejoining SW tomorrow night and needs some ideas for lunch. She doesn't have access to a fridge or microwave at work so that limits her a bit but she does have a kettle. My suggestions so far are:

Mugshots
Salads
Sandwiches
Alpen lights
Snacks

Any more suggestions please?!

can she make a pasta salad the night before and have it cold at work?
quorn sausages & gravy
cold quiche
hard boiled egg salad

eta - the quorn sausages are nice cold!

Good suggestions, what dressings would you recommend for the pasta and rice salads?

I always have a cold lunch....just prepared my one for tomorrow. Prawns with cottage cheese and salad and paprika. I usually take salad and meat of some sort. Today I had crab meat with cottage cheese, spring onion and red onion followed by mullerlight.

Hope that helps some x

Top ideas guys! Keep them coming, I think she will log on tomorrow when she gets to work so she will appreciate all the suggestions x

Cold Pasta n' Sauce is gorgeous! :D Especially on a bed of salad leaves! :)

I tend to spray my salads with Fry light Cesear dressing (sp).

Ditto! And it's easy enough to keep one in her desk or handbag :)

I THINK they are exclusive to Tesco, but could be wrong. There's also a balsamic one, depending what she's into.

tell her to invest in a wide neck flask, then she can have almost any thing and it keeps food nice and warm to.

Super noodles to go are handy and very filling too.
I quite often have chicken fillets cut into bite sized pieces with cherry tomatoes, beetroot, sweet red pepper and cottage cheese.

How about one deseeded chilli, crushed garlic, juice of 1 lime and some soy sauce blended for a dressing?

Cooked chicken is good too if cooked with seasonings, and Marks & Sparks do a lovely ready to eat honey roast salmon which is great for salads.

Lentil soup in a flask with bread is filling and yogurt and fruit as snacks.

That's the kind of things that keep me going. Hope this helps

Hey thanks everyone (thank you taz for starting this)

Great suggestions everyone, thank you.

But keep them coming as I am known to get rather bored of the same thing every day.

I'm going to SW tonight, arghhhh, I am under going an opperation soon and want to be as healthy as possible by then.

Thank you for all your help guys. xx
