Hi everyone
Have not been 'posting' for a while (although have kept up with updating info on teams)- busy at work and then when I get home I don't feel like using the PC?
How is everyone?
It is lovely here in Wirral today.
Have set myself a mini target of 6lb loss by end of April - we have a family wedding on 2nd May and I am going to get my outfit in the Easter holidays. Going to put my food diary on again as I need a bit of inspiration - hope thats ok?
My SWC emailed me last night and asked whether I would joing her 'social' team so as from Tuesday I will be doing the weighing or collecting monies - have helped out before and felt 'honoured' to be asked.
Going to 'blitz' the house shortly - hubby and boys are out so should get loads done.
Speak later and have a great Sunday.

Hi Taz
I was chuffed when she asked me and it will make help me by keeping me going to class every week - ladies are great and it is a very friendly class.
I have really got to 'move forward' now with my weight loss - have got into a bit of a rut 'food wise' eating the same things week in and week out.
Must get those magazines out for new ideas.

Can I just ask you about the 'social' team ? What does your leader do if someone else does the weighing ? TBH, I would be a bit disgruntled if my leader gave the weighing to someone else... i can understand the money side of things, if that helps, but I like the motivation that my leader imparts at the scales and it wouldn't feel the same if someone else was doing it.
This is how it used to be when I joined WW and it really put me off !

I'm on the social team! Me and another girl take it in turns to weigh and take money. Was my first time weighing last week. It's a lot of responsibility and actually, at first, I thought that the leader should really be doing it. However, I was as absolutely tactful as possible. Think I asked all the right questions and gave praise where it was due, and tried to help/support if person was disappointed...
The Consultant was milling round talking to people about their losses and gains and answering questions, which actually worked quite well. I think people could say things to her that they may not necessarily say in the group discussions but wouldn't have time to ask at the scales because of the queue...

Maybe it's just me then... But I still feel that the leader should be doing the weighing. They are the people who have done the training and invested the time/effort, so it makes sense that they should do it. I'm not criticising the other groups where the social team do he weighing, but it's not for me, and I would be disappointed if my group changed.

Our leader never does the WI, it's always one of the other ladies, esp if there are new members so the leader can get them started so the meeting doesn't run on for ages :)

My SWC doesn't do the WI either, she is available for us to talk to her or ask questions if necessary. I wouldn't be very happy if our SWC spent all her time doing things so we couldn't approach her, that's what she is there for. The social group is a team of carefully picked trustworthy people who can perform that task while she can deal with members one on one if required!

Our class opens about 5pm (people can go and get weighed from this time) - most people get there about 6pm and our SWC is on hand to welcome new members and do their talk.
The social team weigh and take money, we then have our meeting and usually finished by 7.15pm. If the SWC did WI's the class would go on a lot longer.
