Time out and restart?

Hi everyone,

Has oneone taken time out and restarted? I know this is not the ideal but I am going through a head f**k at the moment and thinking of taking a week out, just having two shakes a day and then either lunch or an evening meal.

Anyone any experience of doing this and how did it go?

I had 2 weeks off, purely because I was going away. I stuck to 1 shake and 2 protein meals with salad or veg for nearly a week. Then I ate normally for the following 5 days or so, purely because I had no input to the food that was on offer as I was away from home. When I returned I had gained 6lb, which disappeared again after 2 days back on TFR.

Its not something I would recommend as some people do find it hard to get back on track once they have a break. I found it relatively easy to get back onto TFR straight away, but its a risk you take. I wouldnt have done it if I hadn't been going away, so have a good think about what you are thinking of doing and your reasons for doing it. Your stats are showing you only want to lose another 21lb, and you could easily do that in 5-6 weeks.

Think long and hard, but whatever you decide, good luck.

Dont do it!

Take this as a learning curve for when times get hard (or when you are going through a head f***) to realise you do not need to turn to food!

I agree with summergurl. There'll always be situations where times are tough. Why not just try & stick it out? You feel you could manage 2 shakes & a meal, so why not just tough it out with the 3 shakes? I've just buried my aunt and managed (more or less) to stick to LT throughout. You could be at goal soon, then hopefully food won't be such an issue (you'll want to keep it off! LOL!)- why waste time if you don't have to?

No dont do it chick, since my first break ive had more breaks than on LT.Stay strong xxx

well i took time off mainly due to health reasons about a month and didnt put on any weight on. it is hard starting out again but its only been 3 days and i have lost 3.5 pounds encouragement enough to keep at it x i am going to have another break for my birthday and i am a little pissed that i could be 2 stone lighter by now its well worth sticking at it x good luck

Thanks for all your replies ladies, I will have to give it some further though. Maybe the weigh-in on Saturday will give me the kick in the butt I need to stick at it.

Thanks again.
