How you all doing.

Will be going back to the group tomorrow - in all honesty, I am still not motivation and I am not quite sure why.

When I first decided to do the lighterlife programme, I did so because I was actually at the end of my tether with the way I looked.
I felt somewhat stifled and continuously anxious about the way I looked, not being able wear the clothes that I really want to wear.

So you'd think that this would spur me on to continue and be motivated, but I ain't motivated and this scares me because I know that summer is coming.

:(

i personally reckon ur motivation will kick in after u r weighed. well, thats how it would be for me.

anyways....if u can stick to the diet WITHOUT motivation then i am pretty damn impressed with you. imagine what u will be like when it does kick in?? unstoppable!

Hey Auj, whats up honey!!

the motivation is in you somewhere otherwise you wouldn't have started this journey!!! You just need to find it again!!

try having a look at the success stories and write down all the positives of being slim and remaining on LL.

We all have negative feelings we just have to learn to deal with these and turn it around.

Any help you need you will find here babe.

Take it easy and don't take things to seriously, smile:D :D

here is a great big hug (((hug))))

could u be feeling a bit daunted? or unsure its going to work? i mean...it is a pretty extreme diet! would leave anyone daunted and wary of success.

Hi Auj

I'm just popping out so not long to think or post but wanted to make one point.

When I start the Cambridge Diet it was not only the size of me that was motivating me. It was more about how terrible I felt. How terrible my out of control eating was making me feel each day both physically and emotionally. I would lie awake at night, uncomfortable physically because I'd eaten so much and desperately worrying about what was wrong with me and what I could do.

As soon as I decided Cambridge was worth a try and started it that was a big relief for me. I soon became super motivated as I soon really believed that this was going to work for me. Motivation is key, I hope you will find it, I think it's just cold feet and avoidance, when you get there that will disappear. You should chat to you LL leader about it I bet many will feel the same and she will be well aware of that and give you some good advice.

Will pop back later and see what other responses you have.

Hi Anja
well done on making the decision to go back to your group, is it a returners group you are going to?

Hope when you come out of the group meeting you will be motivated to carry on your lighterlife journey....

best of luck to you :D

None of us like to leave our comfort zone as we have lived in it for so long and the though of change is scary even though we want it.

Nelson Mandela's Speech I think puts it into context.

"Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness, that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, and fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small doesn't serve the world. There's nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children do. We are born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It's not just in some of us, it's in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others." The above speech by Nelson Mandela was orignally written by Marianne Williamson who is the author of other similar material."

I find the above very motivating. Food for thought indeed!

Wow Mini

That is a very powerful speech. Really touching, hits hard too. I must keep that somewhere and read from time to time.

Hope that helps you Auj.
