Preparing for CD..need encouragement ..any advice??

Hi all, I'm new to minimins and I am just trying to get myself motivated and prepared to start CD again. I did it a couple of years ago before I got pregnant and lost 3 stones. I want to start with determination and I am excited about it. I also want to get into exercising now before I start so that I can still continue to do some exercise during the diet. I am also trying to get rid of my food issues a little before I start so i don't go mad with food when I reach goal.
Its important for me to have company while I lose weight because it helps me knowing someone is looking out to see how I'm getting on. I want to do the same for others too.

BTW... I plan to start in May when I would have weaned my baby off me completely!

good luck for your May start .... it won't be a shock for you as you've done it before , what CD plan are you thinking of doing ?
 
Motivation wise I have slim photos of me, plus outfits I want to get in to in the bedroom and bathroom, so I see them every night and morning - and fat photos in the kitchen - everywhere!!

I have managed this time to come off for my weekends away and get straight back on track - but normally I'd advise not to come off it for anything.

I have one lady who is doing relaly well with me, because she comes and sees me twice a week and weighs ... so ask your CDC if you can do that - or go to Boots and get a print out weigh in mid week after seeing your CDC - but DON'T weigh every day, it can demotivate if you gain a pound of water - or haven't been to the loo etc. Also only look to the next 1/2stone - not the whole amount.

Lastly, write how you are doing daily, either on your diary or find some else who is doing it and buddy up.

Thanks for your replies guys. Planning on CD sole source till i get to 10.5 stones then treat myself to a holiday come back and do maintenance. I'm hoping to lose between 1/2 a stone to a stone before I start. I think I'll do a low carb diet as I get the best results from that.

Welcome to the forum and congrats on your little'un!

Low carb sounds a good idea and it will make your first few days of CD so much easier because you won't have to deal with the headaches/hunger.

Thanks Cerena, I am planning on starting my low carb tomorrow as I have just returned from a week away and having my 'last suppers' every night hehehe! I am so eager to start and get the weight off for good this time. I just hope I can do it. My hubby is doubting me!! Sigh! Anyway hope you're all doing well.
 
Hi Cee, you seem very motivated already and eager too and thats fantastic. As for your hubby mines the same I think all men are like that ... nothing to do with me saying Im going to do this diet and get the weight off... for the 100th time!!;) Good luck with the start and keep us posted x
 
Thanks Cheska. I had week off eating like a pig and did not gain any weight. I wish I knew why and my hubby seemed disappointed that I didn't gain any weight!!!! Sigh! I'm gonna do this for me. My hubby tends to try to sabotage my diet everytime I begin one. He comes home with stuff he never buys for himself, like chocolate and microwave pizza and icecream. He tells me not to touch it as its all for him!!! It happens everytime. Now that I've seen the trend, I'm not going to let him succeed anymore. I think its his way of seeing how serious I am... but it's unfair. If I was giving up alcohol would he buy a carton af vodka and tell me not to touch it??? I just have to laugh now.
I'll definitely keep you all posted on my progress, it will really help knowing that others are watching out for my progress too.
