You'd need to be on 810 really. Theoretically, you can SS on BMI 25.1, but only probably for about a day, as by the time you reach BMI25, you have to move up to 810.

I know that sounds scary. introducing food and all that, but the added protein really helps with maintaining lean mass. The closer you get to goal, the higher the percentage of lean mass you lose vs fat. And of course, it's not the weight you want to lose, it's the fat. Keeping the lean mass as high as possible will help with maintenance as it will keep you metabolism a little higher.

Scared the weight loss will slow? There's very little difference in weight loss between SS/SS+/810, and for the above reasons, many of the better traditional diets even suggest upping calories as you get closer to target to help save lean.

Scared of food? This is very common and one of the reasons why the 810 is important. It's a good way of eating real food and still losing so we gain confidence that food doesn't equal weight gain.

It'll be okay. 810 is a great plan.

Is there anything else worrying you about doing it?
