:raincloud: Hello everyone. I am 307 pounds. I hover around 300 pounds. I have a 5 year old daughter and 2 month old son. I have a wife that is amazing. She is optimism on steroids. I live with my parents to help take care of my dad. Oh and my sister and her husband live with us as well. 8 people, one roof, chaos.

When I was fifteen I was an active person. I was thin. Played basketball. Loved to walk. I was also diagnosed with Bi-Polar Disorder. I have been on meds ever since. Majority of them cause weight gain. So eating habit before meds not I deal while on them.

Late last year I had a heart cath. Doctor thankfully found my heart wars perfectly fit. I now am on blood pressure meds. Also I now have hypothyroid. Add sleep apnea. Bit of heartburn (going for upper g.i. enoscopy tommorow.). All I ever hear from doctors is lose weight. Simple statement, cumborsome cure.

Now I don't know what to do. thinking of going to a weight loss clinic. Have tried so many years on my own. Cooking just for me and then preparing for every body else is constantly a failure. All in all it comes down to me. I am at the point where I can't take it any more.

Well this is me. This is my sitch. I hope to meet many nice people. Also those who don't mind a vent from me now and then

Hi Raven, that's quite a catalog of illnesses and meds you have there! Have you tried Slimming World or Weight Watchers? You can all eat the exact same meals and all be healthy together with either of those plans. Welcome to the forum and good luck with whatever you decide to do x

Welcome Raven,

Have you got a plan of action or are you looking for suggestions?

Look forward to hearing from you

Hi Raven I've been there mate. Welcome and I hope you find a plan that suits you.

Hi Raven
well done making the first step to finding a plan to work for you - Minimins is a FANTASTIC tool for support, friendship and advice when you need it :)

There are more diets out there than you can shake a stick at ALL of which work if you do them right! ;) That includes healthy eating - which sadly I'm not successful at YET... lol

I hear you on the GP front..

Your children and wife sound like a great incentive and support for you :)

There are a few members around who are bi-polar :) so maybe you'll link up with them on one of the boards.

Good luck choosing a plan and beginning your journey!

Hope to see you around the board :)
