Hi there, This is probably very shallow ,but I have spent the last 20 minutes looking at all the clothes I could potentially wear from Ebay.I am 5'6",and assess that I will probably be at most 12 stones 6lbs by the time my holiday arrives (assuming I don't lose any quicker and stay on foundation until that time).Could anyone advise roughly what size I might be at that weight and height? Thanks.

Hi LS, I probably have a hour glass figure under the lard! I take a size 20 at 16st 5 and size 7 shoe!

Hi Jazzy!
I'm 5ft 6 and at the min weigh 12st 4lb and i'm in size 12's!
(theres some pics in my album that u can see my shape)
Hope this helps but i think everyone is different xxx

Woo hoo!You look fantastic Jessica.Hope I'm the same :D.It's been so long since I weighed that I can't remember what size I was  .Still onwards and upwards (or should I say downwards)??

JC - I'm a size 12 top now and size 10 bottoms - and I weigh 10 stone.

To be honest, I was probably a size 14/16 at 12 stone odd, and I am also 5ft 6in, so I advise you wait until you are nearer because from my stats to Jessica's, there was a big difference at that weight.

Though I'd chip in - I'm 5 5 1/2 (I promise that half exists!!) and at the moment I'm 10 stone 8lb and can JUST ABOUT do up 12 bottoms but they are v. snug, but can get into size 10 tops and dresses with give, size 12 for more fitted items. And I would also say hourglass.

So its all dependant on you I guess.

Well I'm 5' 7" (well 5' 6" AND 3/4 to be precise but the tickers etc don't take quarters in any number.)

I also think that your age has a slight bearing too. It seems quite a few of us are hourglass, me included, but the younger gals seem to reach the smaller sizes quicker for the similar weights than us older gals. I'm 42 and just slipped into 14s but I'd like to think 12s would be a possability by 12.5 stone, but I'm not counting on it! And Poppy's post sort of bears me out on my theory too.

You also don't say how long you have or what your current weight is but I'd advise hanging on until about three weeks before the holiday.

jcjazzy Hi

It's not a shallow question, it's natural and also good to have something to look forward to and aim for.
However, I wouldn't plan clothes too far in advance at this stage. I don't know when your holiday will be and what size you are now, but I think you will find you'll choose different styles and colours in clothes as your confidence increases and your size decreases. It's such fun.

TOTALLY agree!! My once favourite shops I wouldn't look twice in now! Even though they do the smaller sizes I now need, the style is just not mine anymore! It was a case of needs must last year, where now I now choose what to wear, I dress in a totally different way.

I would suggest if buying clothes off Ebay to contact the seller and ask them to measure the item in the usual places then compare this to items you have at home that fit....I have sold lots of clothes and people have always asked me. It is so hard to say what fits one person of the same build as we are all so different...xx

Thanks girls for all your input.I'm not actually buying anything at the mo,just dreaming about when I can and enjoying the browsing :D x
