Faces

Yasmine

One last chance
A lot of people have said that being on LT, they faces are glowing and look healthy. My younger sister has this but for me it's the opposite.

I look worn out, sick and tired. I have panda eyes and have been told that I have the face of a corpse.

A bit exagerrated of my dad to say that but you know.

Does anyone else have this opposite effect?

I'm afraid I always look well on this diet. I remember when my mum found out I was doing it she was waiting for me to look ill or become sluggish and was going to say I should come off it, but she says the day never came as I always looked well whilst doing the diet.

Sorry hun. xx

I am one of the glowing ones too, my skin is ten times better than it used to be, and my hair is shining. I put it down to all the water because when we are not dieting, we never ever drink enough water.

Damn, you guys are so lucky!

Have you talked to your Pharmacist about it? This is one of the issues that my Pharmacist was talking to me about last week. She said if you lose all your weight with TFR you can look hagard and gaunt in the face, she said you are best to lose the last bit of weight on re-feed/maintenance, hence the reason why I am starting refeed once I have lost about another half stone.

Looking at your stats, you are taller than me and your bmi is around the same as mine, so maybe its time to discuss re-feeding. Its worth a try hun because at the end of the day after all your hard work, you dont want to make yourself look ill or anything.

Just noticed you have set your goal at 9 stones. I wouldnt like to go as low as 9 stone and I am 3 inches smaller than you. I know we are all different but I do think you should talk goals with your Pharmacist as your goal is taking you to the very bottom edge of the bmi recommendations.

My skin has got worse too, dont have the panda eyes but its very dry and I have a few spots, first time since a teenager :(

I have talked to my pharmacist, when I had my blood pressure, it was really low. It was lower than 70, but I don't know where my blood pressure should be anyway. He told me that I should go see a doctor, which I am going to do tomorrow. I'm going to be having a blood test to check if I have Aneamia or Diabetes. You see I fainted for the second time yesterday.

I don't want to start refeed as I am half way near my target, I'll refeed when I have like around 5-10 of my remaining pounds to shed.

9 stone is sort of like a base for me. As I lose weight, I'll check if I'm happy with my body's appearance. If I'm happy anywhere between 9 stone - 10 stone 5lbs, then I'll stop. Depends on how I look.

OH GOD SPOTS! YES! My face errupted! and they have to be the pus filled types as well YUCK!

I use Acnesal, really helps. Ask your pharmacist about it. Careful though, it doesn't suit all skin types. My sister used it and got a burning rash. But she has high allergies.

My skin is dry and spotty and rather pale and I have not had the same energy boost (I AM ON DAY 10) as I did the first time round.

Jo x

Good luck with the Doctors and I hope he can sort out the fainting problem for you. I dont know what the blood pressure should be, but I know mine was in the good range yesterday at wi as it was under 80. I am sure someone with more knowledge will be able to answer it. I think my blood presure was 122/78.

well until recently i would have said that everyone has told me that im glowing. but these days my skins looking strange. I never get spots and for the past 2 weeks I have had a couple on my forehead. My eyes are starting to look a bit sunk in with dark bits underneath. My brother in law actually said "i can tell your on that stupid diet again coz your eyes look dead" :(

If its any consolation for you I have seen your before and after photos so far and you dont look sick or anything to me :) infact you look good!!

I had spots at the start of the diet.

And my eyes have very drawns and sunken looking with dark circles xxx

I've got spots but have developed a cunning and pleasing theory that it's the excess nasties from my old evil food escaping and that they'll be gone soon!;) here's hoping anyway!

in the last 3 weeks of the diet i have started to look worse. No matter how much makeup i wear i get the 'pale' comments. I look drained - and feel it too. I am going on refeed saturday - roll on the vitamins that will make me look better!

Sorry Yasmine, but have to say my face has never looked better. I used to suffer with greasy skin and spots but since LT that has all gone and I am so glad. I look a lot healthier.

Sorry to hear you fainted again. You OK? Let us know what the docs say.

everyone tells me i look more youthful!!! but i actually think i look older i think my fat used to fill out my wrinkles (groan) i just cant win. lol but i feel great phsically(sorry cant spell that!) lol x
