Hi everyone..im on a green day and would anyone know any cold pasta dishes and also are the Ainsley Harriot flavoured cous couses free..if not then does anyone have any recipes because ive never made my own cous cous before..love all your threads what youve posted ...im addicted to this website...i just hope this diet works..xxx thanks everyone:p

Welcome! :) for cold pasta - I really love cold Pasta n' Sauces - some of the flavours are free, and others are only 0.5 / 1 syn :)
I'm not sure about the Ainsley couscous though... would like to know though - they're delish! :D lol!

but yea... good luck with SW! :D

Ainsley does have a value, and I think its approx 2 sins per packet but don't quote me on it! Cous cous is so easy to make, just pour boiling water over it to the half way mark, put a plate on top of it and leave it for 5 mins and its ready to eat. I have mine with roasted free veg in frylight and feta cheese as an A-really nice and easy.

Ooh that sounds really nice! :D I always have trouble with my couscous - it usually turns out to be pretty bland :( lol - might try the roasted veg and feta idea though - sounds delish! :D - Thanks!!:)

Try This

If you are using plain cous-cous but you like the Ainsley Harriott ones try this:

4oz plain cous-cous
Juice of 2 lemons
Handful fresh coriander
1 clove garlic
1/2 deseeded chilli (optional)
1 medium courgette
1 medium carrot
1 medium red onion
Handful chestnut mushrooms
Frylight

Finely chop all the vegetables and the herbs (keep seperate)

Put the cous-cous in a bowl with the lemon juice, cover with boiling water and then cover and set aside

Spray some frylight into a pan, add the onions, carrots and garlic then cook gently till soft

Add the chilli (if using), courgette and mushrooms & cook for a few more minuits.

Stir the veg mix, cous-cous and coriander together & serve.

Really tasty & free!!

If you've got the current magazine there's also a morroccan cous cous recipe in there, my hubby made it the other night and it's gorgeous!
