How much do you gain (or loose) as you go up the plans?

Hi people, this is a repost. I posted this on the maintenance board but wanted to hear your opinions as well as this board is busier.

I was just wondering when you start incorporating food back into your diet (and carbs) how much, on average, do gain back in glycogen? I was thinking if I get to target, maybe I should go a few pounds lower to leave allowance for the glycogen weight that'll come back....

But then again I heard that people still lose as they move up the plans and in that case, does one start to move up at goal or before goal? Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

My CDC said to me if you follow the maintenance plan properly you shouldn't really gain in terms of water and glycogen. This is because you will still be losing (810, 1000 plans) so the gain in glycogen shouldn't show at all. You have to follow it completely by the book though. So in essence you don't need to aim for below your target.

When to stop SS is really upto you. My goal weight is 10st 7lbs but I will stop SS at 12 stone and lose the final lbs using exercise and the higher plans.

Hopefully you'll be on the 810 now as you are under BMI25.

You can go to goal at that, then start moving up the plans. If you continue to lose weight, you could go up a bit quicker ;)

Most people start moving up before goal though and lose the rest on the way up.

You can't really tell how it will come off, but you can adjust how long you spend on each plan if the weight is either coming off too fast, or no quick enough :)

Thank you so much Bijoux and KD, I appreciate your expert advice. I'm currently 17lbs from goal but this week has been weird as I look and feel much thinner and my size 10 jeans are a bit baggy round the waist and hips so I've either had a good loss this week or 17lbs would leave me looking way too thin. I'll decide on that after weigh in tomorrow :D
I'm thinking a further 10lbs from whatever my weight is tomorrow so if I have another 10lbs to go should I start up the plans now? Or when I lose more?

I think this one is best decided between your CDC and you as she can see you and can guesstimate better how you will do going up the plans :)
