hi there
i will be finishing foundation on 16th April and am looking ahead...

what week is alcohol introduced back in - and what quantities?

the reason i'm asking is i'm off to glastonbury on june 24th and am wondering how far down RTM i will be - and if i do another month of abstinence would i be at the point when i could have a drink that weekend?

also, if its only something like 1 vodka a week i am allowed at that stage i need to be re-thinking my plans!

thanks

I'm looking at the booklet now for you...
Alcohol is on Week 5, and it doesn't actually say quantities to be honest... But you need to be aware of the calories in the drinks: so be a judge for yourself. :) Personally even though I'm on LLL, I allow myself a Gin+Slimline tonic on occasion because it's about 50 calories and does not break my ketosis... The way it works is that instead of the fat, the alcohol is burned instead... when that's over the fat burning process begins again as normal.

Here is a list as it is given in the RTM book:

Dry white wine - 125 ml - Approx. 83 calories.
Red wine - 125 ml - Approx. 85 calories.
Champagne - 125ml - Approx. 95 calories.
Lager - Pint - Approx. 90 calories.
Draft beer - Pint - Approx. 90 calories.
Dry Cider - Pint - Approx. 100 calories.
Spirits (40%) - 1 'shot' (25ml) - Approx. 50 calories.

Bottle of dry white wine - 750ml - Approx. 500 calories.

In week 5, I think it's about 1000-1100 calories of daily intake or so?
I'd say enjoy your weekend as long as you make sure if you over indulge a little you get back to the straight and narrow when you come home. Nothing wrong with having a little fun! We all have naughty days in our weeks, I know I certainly do! :)
