I have been on CD, SS for a week now and I have had some shakes but I am not drinking my three shakes a day. Will this affect my weight loss, badly? I had one yesterday, two the day and I'll probably have only one today as I am yet to drink it.

If anyone can help, I'd really appreciate it. I'm not trying to be a hero, I just don't feel hungry and also when I do have one, I feel bloated.

Keeping strong!

You must, must, MUST have all of your shakes, every day.

If you don't, then you are not getting all of the nutrients your body needs, you won't lose the weight properly and you risk wasting away muscle and other important tissues as you could go into Starvation mode instead of Ketosis.

Bottom line, wether you are hungry or not, you must have all of them, each and every day, they are vital to your health.

You must have your shakes otherwise you'll make yourself ill... why not trying having two together if it helps? My CDC says she has double porridge - that seems to work.

Wow, thanks Pete. I wasn't sure and haven't really asked anyone cos I thought I was being stupid.

My CDC knew and wasn't really alarmed. Honestly, why can't they all be of the same standard! My last CDC was fantastic but I found it really hard to visit due to work and kids so I found this one that delivers. Not the best for advice and guidance.

Hi Sonya

You really do need to have your 3 sachets a day - even if you don't feel like you need them. They contain important vitamins and minerals that your body needs, and without them you will make yourself ill.

I used to have a hot choc mint if I didn't really fancy anything - that way it is just like having a nice mug of hot choc.

Maybe try and vary the ways you have your sachets - I made my veg sachet into crisps - which were lush. Also in later weeks maybe try the mousse and bars.

Good luck.

Libellule, I'm finding my shakes a wonderful treat but don't want to to tempt myself by chewing on anything! lol

A part of me is so determined that I've just kinda lost my appetite.

Thanks

Oh my lord, how can you not be able to drink all three? I would have about 6 if i could as Im so hungry all the time! lol

Yep, as pete and others say, you really must have all your shakes. It's vital. For a start, you will not be getting all the protein you need to protect your lean mass. This is really important!! Remember that even your heart is a muscle.

You wont be getting the vits and minerals you need either.

Besides, weight loss wont be so good :(

I know, I know. I've been on this diet before and I've also wanted to be able to drink 10+. This time is just different, I feel bloated and I suspect splitting with my partner last week has also contributed.

I've had another so that is two down and one to go. I'll probably have that with warm water just before I go to bed.

I can't believe that it could do worse for my weight loss. I'm so niave!!

Yep, no harm done.....thanks to this site!! Left to my CDC's advice and guidance, I'd be screwed!!

This site is so great and thanks to everyone that took the time to post.

It is a great site, but it's a pity you're not getting on with your CDC - they do all seem to be so different. Mine is brilliant - I thought I would just be rushing in to pick up food and get weighed, but no, I'm usually in there for a full hour, and I get proper 'counselling'. She always wants to know how I've been getting on, how I've been managing, suggests incentives (such as weighing out what you've lost in potatoes!) and all sorts of things. She also emails me during the week to offer help too. I feel sorry for CDers who don't have a satisfactory CDC (I thought they were all like mine until I read this forum!). :(

Oh my god, that sounds like a wonderful CDC. My prevous CDC who I have contact and I'm just waiting on a return call, she was like that. She was great.

I like the idea about the potatoes. Anymore?

Well, you can also weigh out the amount of potatoes for what you've got to LOSE - that's even more staggering! (I couldn't even shift the bag when I tried that.) When you think of all the extra weight that you've been dragging around (and what you still are, if you haven't finished your CD), it really brings it home to you - and how hard your heart is having to work just to keep you going. Potato-weighing is definitely my biggest incentive! :D

Well, I set my target at three stone to lose (I've already lost one), but I reckon I might go a bit further than that. I chose a 'safe' weight, which I was for years before I started putting on weight, but I see no reason why I can't go back to what I weighed when I was in my 20s? My CDC and I have agreed that I will go to my target weight, and see how I look and feel before making any further decision. It all seems too good to be true at the moment! I can hardly believe I've even made the suggestion, but that's what CD does for you! :)

(BTW Sonya, that's a fabulous weight loss for a first week - well done you! :0clapper:)

Thanks Jaycey, that weight loss was amazing but I had hardly consumed anything!

My CDC counsellor didn't even discuss goals and I would have preferred it if she had treated me as a new client in some aspects. I hope my previous CDC can take me on as her client. I'm waiting anxiously by the phone....

I hope it works out for you, Sonya - put your foot down and rap out those questions! (That's what she's there for! :D)

Hi Sonya

At your height you should be taking 4 products a day, not 3. Your CDC should have told you that women over 5.8 needs to take 4packs.

It sounds like your loss of appetite could be down to your recent split but you really need to take all your packs, you are doing yourself no favours by having so little. You could be running on nervous energy and when that goes it could result in a binge.

I am not being negative, just realistic so please be careful.
