first week and half

i am just through my first week and a half, and upto now have only been mildly hungry which was put right buy a shake or water, but today i'm starving! is that normal as i thought once you got over hunger it didnt come back. also TOTM back slighty afet only 1 week
 
I don't know Bali.I've only just started today!I'm sure someone will be along soon who can tell you! How have you found the first week?
 
have you had enough water? I used to find that the savoury drinks helped when I was having a real 'hungry' moment-which wasn't very often at all to be honest.
TOTM will make a difference. Well, it does with me! Good luck and stay strong. It does get easier trust me. I ate nothing for 7 months xx
 
welcome jcjazzy, yes its been going really well, only side effects so far is going dizzy now and then, not as hungry as i thought i would be, worked out which food packs i like and dislike, can see a change in my body shape already, looking forward to my next weigh in which will be on monday. goof luck
 
Keep going Bali dear. :) I still get hunger pangs quite often, but a lot of the time it's more emotional hunger talking so I ignore it. Or I drink a cup of coffee with some Skim. Milk which helps too!
If you're feeling a little light headed though: that could actually be real hunger... I have a carrot as a snack in that situation, and feel better!

you shouldn't be having milk in your tea or coffee! It's not alowed during abstinence apart from in milk week!

It's just that she didn't post in the LL Lite forum, but we are both doing the Lite plan.
I was on abstinence for 9 months, no worries.. I know... sorry for the mention of F**D here.
 
Just remember thae following;

Ketosis = no real hunger
Thirst = hungry feeling as our bodies don't know the difference
Boredom = hungry feeling
Tiredness = hungry feeling
Stress = hungry feeling

and so on.
After 1.5 weeks on LLL, you'll be definately in Ketosis so it's almost 100% guarantee'd that your 'hunger' is actually one of those above, and not actual hunger :)


Tell yourself that, and it helps; I regularly remind myself, even after nearly 19 weeks, that any time I think I feel hungry, it's a trick! and quickly remedying the cause (i.e. do something fun if bored) makes the hungry feeling dissapear suprisingly quickly.......

i am on my 3rd week now and still have hunger pangs to the point where i feel sick and stomach growling, i am in ketosis and trying my best to ignore it...i almost broke last night and picked up a piece of food but quickly gave it the dog and ran out of the kitchen.....i am desperately craving salad & veg rather than the usual suspects so i suppose thats a good thing !!!i think the fact that im only doing it until 3rd april is keeping me going....im still debating whether to carry on after my holidays, for me i feel there is less pressure due to the fact i can do it for a month at a time rather than 100days, if that was the case then there is no way i could have gotten back into the swing of it !! i can easily drink 3 litres but struggling to get a fourth one down, i wonder if i did manage it then that would help my hunger pangs?? is anyone else struggling with the water?? i dont mind the flavourings but they dont make much of a difference !!!!
 
I think it's easier week 3 onwards when you're well established on it, this is what I found anyway :)
