I have no idea about calories (hence getting me where I am today!) As we have a thread saying what we are eating, I wondered if anyone would like to hazard a guess at the calorie content? pleeeeeeeease
What would be 2 large egg omelette 200 cals, sprinkle of cheese 50 cals, 2 mushrooms almost no cals, six slices of roast beef 300 cals, handful of spinach nothing, 2 chicken breasts 400 cals, and a large glass of red wine for instance?
The thing with calorie counting is normally to make sure you don't have too many cals in the form of starchy carbs or sugar, but as you aren't eating any, you wouldn't have to worry about cals on Atkins.
A woman need 2000 cals to maintain and anything below that will mean you will lose weight....at least that's what they used to tell you at clubs like slimming world. But am happy to be corrected if this is now wrong.

Wouldn't know TT. I have never counted calories on Atkins.
Umm, Pam, Atkins is not about calories, it's about Carbohydrates.
The two don't mix in my opinion.
I understand how Atkins works!!! I was just trying to tot up one day to know, not to do it everyday!
