Healthy extras question...

Hey,

I'm sure it's been asked before but I'm too lazy to search tonight!

If I have 28g bran flakes as my HEb with 200ml of skimmed milk as my HEa, what should I be having to make them up to full HEs? The book suggests one ryvita. Any other ideas as I don't usually eat them. I like them though, so could buy some in...

Perhaps I should have the bran flakes as usual but then have one ryvita with one/two triangles of laughing cow extra light? Do you think that would make up the right quantities to make one full HEa and HEb?

I am going to try to eat all my HEs this week, see if it helps me with my 100% week!

Thanks loads

Hellie

You need to work out the %age of the allowance you are using and use the remaining %age of another HE to make it up to a whole one. Eg: if you are using 80% of your milk allowance you can make it up with 20% of cheese allowance.

I hope that makes sense

Sometimes, as an example, I don't use all of my 350ml skim milk so if I use half of it, I then 'top up' my HE(a) with half the allowance of 6 x Larfin Cows (ie) I can have 3 - another one I do, if I have only 2 x Ryvita as a HE(b), I can then have 1 x W/bix or 1 x Alpen Bar to 'top it up' as a full HE(b) - I detest the Rvita Goodness bars!!!! xxxx

Blimey that's hard work! Can I not just have a few extra bran flakes!?!Thanks though both....
