Oh well, 3 weeks into WW and still the same! I guess I have found my maintenance plan anyway. I am on 19 points, what can I do to get it moving, maybe have 17 per day do you think?
Yesterday's menu
Oats so simple 2
WW curry 4.5
bagel 3
WW beef goulash 3.5
mixed 0 point veg
Fruit salad 2
fruit bar from tesco 1.5
ww chocolate cake bite 1

Maybe by body is having a big adjustment from cambridge but thought it would be moving by now. Oh well, at least i am not gaining it back!

I'd say your body just needs a bit of time to adjust from being on CD. The increased carbs and calories will cause you to stall for a bit but stick in there it will eventually work. I did low GI/low carb before starting ww and it took me a few weeks to start losing properly.
Also make sure you keep up your water intake of about 2 litres per day, especially if your eating a lot of ready meals as they can contain quite a bit of salt which will cause water retention.
Well done on your weight loss you have the patience of a saint sticking to it for 3 weeks without any results, stick in there, the last stone is always a killer when your taking it slow.:)

Hi Kikuka - when I came off the vlcd, I did lose a little weight on week one but then stayed the same for the next week.

I didn't eat refined/processed carbs at all for about the first month or so - only oats etc. I think when your body has been starved of them and then you eat them, it gets a bit confused.

Should have evened itself out by now though. WW does work. I lost my last 10lbs with it. It takes longer but at least re-educates you back into eating in the real world.

Good luck with it. Fingers crossed for this week. xx

Thanks guys

Holding on in there.

had a good day yesterday, trooped off to a day conference with my boss in the middle of nowhere clutching my fruit salad and homemade sandwich, despite the hotel having won a restaraunt award.
They all went to dinner, I sat alone in the conference room, but was I glad! Not only had I stuck t my diet but apparently the food was rank! Ha!
I suppose I should be happy I can maintain by eating well. i am eating more goof stuff than ever, i will be looking like a fruit or a vegetable soon (in the nicest possible way)
A lower weigh in on Monday would be nice though. I am giving it another fortnight, and if no movement will drop the carbs back down a bit.

carbs wise i would just drop things like bread or white rice and pasta - i always find i lose much more if i dont have bread in my diet..

really hope you see a good result come WI - as much as STS isnt bad, it must be upsetting that you are trying really hard and not seeing an immediate return, so good on you for keeping at it cause it would be much easier to give up.

Its a new week

Ok, drawn a line

Today I have had

porridge 2
raisins (1 spoon) 1
small apple 0.5
50/50 crustless bread 2
sliced turkey breast 1.5
fruit salad 2
fruit snack pack (2 spoons) 2
WW cottage pie 3
Huuuuuge portion of free veg 0
english muffin 2
apricots 1.5
Total=17.5

I am allowed 19 per day. I am quite pleased with today as I spent my points on lots of fruit and veg which has got to be good.
is there anything else I can do oher than stick to my points to get things moving?

do you drink plenty of water and exercise much? x

I'll definately second the water drinking!! I definately find a difference in my losses when im not drinking enough water x

Moving more works for me - even when sitting down watching the telly - try to fidget or do arm exercises or whatever. I am sure every little helps to keep us ticking along

I am also a fan of making sure we drink lots but it can be tea/coffee/squash etc as well - I hate plain water. Too boring. x

Well, had a weigh in last night - was miles away from class as had been on training across the city, sped there on three buses, but worth it! Lost 2.5 lb, really pleased with that, I just hope that it continues now. i did spoil it a bit by getting weighed this morning and finding it had gone up again, but i sure that is a temporary blip!

Hi

Hello :wavey: Congrats on the 2.5 loss - that's excellent when you're so close to goal :) Yeah I'd ignore this mornings wi - if yesterday was when you always weigh then that's more accurate!

Congrats again!

do you think that you were eating too many processed foods, ie the ww ones. Surely it must be better and healthy to make it yourself.

great loss, congrats to you :O)

Thanks guys!
I take on board your advice about water and have been making an effort to drink more. Also, I have only had one ww meal in 5 days - now I am in the swing of things i am cooking more, but they were great for while I was first starting. I am going to try not to get weighed in between but it is not always easy! Isnt the sunny weather a boost though - keep thinking that i might be able to wear shorts on holiday in september! Oh well, 2.5 down 11.5 to go (then maybe more!)

Hi

Oh yes the sun certainly helps :)

And I know what you mean about weighing - it's hard to stop once you get into the habit :) Is it regular scales you use? If so can you hide them :D My sister put hers in her loft to stop her weighing herself 2-3 times a day!!

I might ask my husband to hide them, but I dont know where! We have a small apartment!
I must resist. Part of the problem is I really dont believe i will keep losing while eating all this lovely food, I dont really mind how much per week - honestly half a ppund or a pound will do each week. I have ages till I go on my sunshiny holiday in Sep. I am off to japan in 2 weeks but I am not worried about gaining weight while there as we will be eating very much the local diet which is very healthy though i may avoid the pickled eel!

I've been doing WW for a while and still can't believe how much I can eat and still lose - but we don't have to believe it for it still to work :)

Oh I'd love to go to Japan ... but would def avoid the pickled eel!!!
