Corporate (in)hospitatlity grumble

I am always good on Mondays, no matter what. I wake up with a spring in my step and the enthusiasm to have a GOOD week. Today was no exception and I got up nice and early to make a salad for lunch and a huge bowl of fruit for breakfast....

But I get to work to find I have to take part entertaining guests at lunchtime, and what do you think lunch is? A buffet of deep-fried-battered-cheese-puff-pastry-lard-balls! OK ok so I exaggerate, but was all bread, crisps and pastry! Not a single bit of fruit in sight, and all the sandwiches were made with butter/cheese/mayo. I was hungry and I had to be hospitable to our guests so had some, but because I'm not all that used to it anymore I'm now very uncomfortable and feel as thought I was forced into cheating. <grumble grumble>

Sorry, had to moan, end of rant.

I hate that when it happens!
I have the same thing coming up at the weekend and Im not looking forward to it!
Dont fret Huni, just concentrate on being good for the rest of the week and you should be fine.

The best way to handle this kind of situation is to have a small amount of something not too bad and do the hospitality bit, then excuse yourself to 'make an important call' and go somewhere quiet that you can have your salad.

OR have your salad with the others and tell them you have to bring your own food as you have intolerances
