Hi all
Some of you know that my dad was in hospital awaiting bypass surgery... and i decided to knock the diet on the head for a bit while he was recovering.
Well... to cut a long story short, he caught MRSA in our local hospital before being transferred to London, so is now sitting in London 2 weeks later waiting for 3 sets of clear swabs before they will operate.
It's been a nightmare.
He's ok but bored to death, in solitary confinement!
It's done me some good though in a strange way... even after 2 weeks of eating what i wanted (no booze though - was scared if i started i'd never stop) i managed to lose 2 lbs. Guess it must be stress.
Thanks for the support - that's my update... guess we'll see what happens next!
Mich xx

Red Mich, huggs hunny, I am really sorry to hear about your father, I hope he gets well soon MRSA is a nightmare, I hope he gets through this fine.

Well done on losing 2lbs even though you've been eating. This is an opportunity for you to realise that once you're off CD you can still maintain and lose weight. Well done hun.

Sorry to hear about your dad..... hope he has his op soon. One of my twin son's was diagnosed with MRSA after being born 8 weeks early. It was before all the hype so we didn't really know how bad it was but it was horrible as he was separated from his brother and we had to gown up to see him....... it transpired that he didn't actually have MRSA..... there was some kind of contamination in the lab!!!!!!

Well done on losing despite eating "real food"....... hopefully your dad will soon be on the mend and you'll be able to get back to CD X

Fingers crossed for a full recovery for your dad and well done you for still losing whilst eating. Please keep us posted with updates x

((hugs)) am sure the lack of alcohol will be helping.

Really hope your dad gets well enough for his op soon. My mum contracted MRSA after an op, she was terminal for different reasons, but it was awful for her.
