Hi All, I am new to slimming world, and I am a bit stuck, and need some advice. I am doing the extra easy plan at the moment, and I just want to check that I am doing it right.
Can you please check.
I am allowed one choice (a) for healthy extras
and 1 choice (b)
I am a bit confused about how much skimmed milk I should be having each day. Also if I have my full quota of milk, will I have to point my yogurt as syns.?
For instance, today for breakfast I had oats, are these ok, because I couldn't see them on the extra easy plan under breakfasts. I made it with skimmed milk, and had a yogurt.
For lunch, I am making a fish quiche which contains cottage cheese, (low fat), will I have to take cottage cheese from my syns as I have had lots of calcium today. I am confusing myself now. I hope you can understand it.
Thanks for your help, I want to get this right.
I am really loving this plan, and I am not going hungry

I am a bit confused about how much skimmed milk I should be having each day. 350ml skimmed milk is 1 A choice Also if I have my full quota of milk, will I have to point my yogurt as syns.? not if it's free yogurt (eg very low fat natural/greek yogurt or Muller Light and various other branded low fat yogurts are free)
For instance, today for breakfast I had oats, are these ok, because I couldn't see them on the extra easy plan under breakfasts. Oats so Simple original, 1 sachet, is 1 B choice or 28g of oats is 1 B choice I made it with skimmed milk, and had a yogurt. what kind of yogurt?
For lunch, I am making a fish quiche which contains cottage cheese, (low fat), will I have to take cottage cheese from my syns as I have had lots of calcium today. No, very low fat cottage cheese is free I am confusing myself now. I hope you can understand it.

Very low fat yogurts/cottage cheese/fromage frais/Quark are all FREE so they don't count as an A option. Milk or cheese counts as an A option.

I second what Stacey has said!

Thanks ever so much for that, I can't believe how much you can eat on this plan. I always buy low fat yogurts. I had my oats with low fat natural yogurt (Tescos healthy range).

Hi, make sure your yoghurts are fat free otherwise you will have to syn them (even the low fat ones).
So you go to class or are you going it on your own? If you go to class then you should have the red/green plan in your book and you can have any of the healthy extras listed in there on extra easy too.

I only started at slimming world yesterday, this is all new to me. I just wanted to double check that I had got all the facts right. So what percent sat fat am I looking for, for yogurt to be ok in slimming world, is it under 3%?
Thanks for your help.

No, it's not that easy! I've been eating fat free vanilla yoghurt (yeo valley) and even though it's FF it's synned cos of the sugar!
Fat Free natural yoghurt and 0% greek yoghurt are free, as are Muller Lights.
did your consultant give you the password for the website? They are listed on there but the Tesco virtually fat free natural yoghurt is free for sure!
