Is it possible to lose 14lbs in a month?

Hi everyone. I set myself a goal for the end of March...I'm happy with myself so far as I've lost 6lbs in a month without sticking rigidly to the plan. I was on holiday for a week when I over indulged - especially with alcohol and the week before I was very unwell with flu so didn't eat properly (probably lost more in that week but didn't weigh myself). Also did no exercise for those two weeks. Is it possible to lose 14lbs in a month if I stick to the plan and start exercising every day again? Am I asking too much?

Thanks for any advice xx

Its highly unlikely! SW say their loss rate is 1 to 2lbs a week, so half a stone is doable. A stone a month is the rate you lose on a VLCD, not one like SW where youre eating

You said you set the goal yourself. Is it really THAT important that you meet it?? I have to admit thats why I never ever set date/weight targets, its too much pressure. If you lose 7/8lbs in the month, thats great, instead of seeing it as that youre going to see it as failure :(

Im averaging around 8-9lbs a month, so around 2lbs a week.
This is the norm for a SW weight loss Hun, unless you are severly overweight you would not loose 14lbs.

Thanks for all your responses....I'm quite embarrassed (because I'm not usually this dizzy - honest!) - I got my months confused...my goal is the end of May - I am feeling really good about the plan at the moment - I just freaked myself out while I was eating lunch and looking at the site and totally confused myself. All is well, I've taken the dozey pills :)

I think you're all quite right, you shouldn't set crazy goals - I just panicked thinking I'd run out of time to be ready for the beach this Summer - what a nut....xx
