I suffer from Billary Colic, which I control with diet. I know what I can and can't eat. So today I had a brunch, grilled bacon, Quorn sausages, eggs, tomatoes and toast. Scrumptious.:D
Sadly, within 15 mins, I was in pain, nausueous and sweating. Needless to say I ended up vomiting (diagusting, sorry).:p
So it looks as if thats another meal I can no longer have, along with fish/chips, cheese and peanuts. I'm sure the list will get longer.
The plus side it makes dieting easier, I'd rather go with out than go through that again.:8855:

Have you had any advice? Perhaps your practice nurse could help you?

sounds like you need to tslk to your doctor about having your gallbladder removed (if you haven't already).

i suffered from biliary colic for a few years myself and was hospitalised on a few occassions.

The worry with BC is that stones (it is gallstones in the bile duct that cause it) can work there way up towards the pancreas and cause pancreatitis which can lead to major and extensive surgery and a very long stay in hospital.

I put off seeking medical attention for a long time ( i should have known better, i'm a nurse!) and ended up being very, very unwell.

speak to your GP, please

Like you I'm a nurse. My GP knows about the colic, I'm just trying to avoid more surgery,I'm going back to work tomorrow having had 6wks of following Carpal Tunnel Surgery.
I see my GP every 3mths for depression and to keep an eye on my BP. (I've reached 50 and I'm falling to pieces). I will speak to her then, or go back sooner it I get another attack like yesterdays, it hurt like hell and I still have some discomfort today.:sigh:

Thanks for your support.
