I've kind of "just about" got my head round the original and green days, but then they throw this extra easy thing into the mix, and now I'm all confuddled again.

Any help will be gratefully received x

Hi,
Free foods from green and red days can be eaten freely all day on Extra Easy.
You then have 1 HEXa and 1 HEXb choice.
You can still have your normal amounts of syns per day but you take the lowest syn value.

I'm confused now - I've always got my head around Red and Green days no problem but now (if I've read it right), it seems you can have both???? (ie) I can have as much fish as I want and also pasta in one day? Cant be right????? What's the catch!!?? Look fwd very much to yr reply - am still logged on!!!!

Not as much as you want, as much as you need :D as with other days.
You only get one Healthy Extra B and one Healthy Extra A.

So this following note applies: ?? "Extra Easy - the new SW plan - it’s so so so so easy it’s amazing!. Use your old books - everything that’s free on a green day you can have, everything that’s free on a red day you can have - on the same day - you don’t have to split your days into red OR green anymore, BUT you can only have 1 healthy extra A and 1 healthy extra B per day (choose these from either red or green lists). then have 5-15 syns/day - I recommend 15 - and you’re sorted !!"
Seems odd that the two can be mixed as I thought the whole idea was to either eat protein (red) or carbs (green) - especially as we've been told we can have as much of green and red as we want but 'as we need' on Extra Easy (not that I'd over do it ... bit dubious mixing the two still ... too good to be true!!!

Thats it exactly.

I've never stuck to all green or all original. Before EE I always used my healthy extras for protein or carbohydrates. So this plan is great for me.

Do a search of the forum for extra easy and you will find lots of discussion which might give you a bit of an insight how others have done and how they are finding it.

When it comes down to it - EE is basically just healthy eating.

With the green and red plans it was never the case that you couldn't mix carbs and protein. After all you can have meat as a HEB on green and pasta on a red. Also pulses and quorn are free on green and are good sources of protein.

ive only just learned about this today and having abit of trouble so far working it out. can you do it all the time if you wanted? and also does it make a difference to your losses? whats the losses for people on here been like?

I probably eat meals that are too big, so I don't lose when I do extra easy. If you can stop eating when you're no longer hungry, this works well. It would be good for maintenance. Give it a go and see if it works for you. I just do the odd day of EE now and then as red and green work better for me.

I am enjoying EE and have lost each week so far, my consultant did say that you had to have a third of your plate with the super foods, but when I read the book it just reccomended that you did. As long as you are eating a lot of free veg with each meal you will be fine.

I've just started EE on Monday. I'm not able to join a local club so i have been using my old books. I think I've got my head around EE but i think i might discover that my portion sizes of pasta are too large. Well we'll see when i hit the scales on Sunday. How much pasta does everyone else eat for one sitting?
