Well here goes the usual been on many diets, read the book seen the video and the tee shirt is now worn out.

But I dont care, cause in my mind as long as I always try to do something about it I am going upwards. Last year I did LL and I thought all my troubles were over, but no not for me, lost four stone, now put on 3 but feel I need to bring it to a halt. Today I tried to get things into perspective, if I lose just 1lb a week, taking in the ups and the downs, in one year I would of lost 3.7lbs. That sounds good.

So todays the day, jacket potatoe with bake beans on it for lunch. I am going to join on line as I find it difficult to get to clubs.

So hello everyone.

Hello...welcome and Good luck!!!
This is the best plan ever as you still get to eat! (try and get out of your head the word diet, as they mean you have to deprive yourself and at least with SW you dont have to, or you can find an alternative!!!)

Hi welcome to SW! It is a lifestyle not a diet, keep that in mind and you will do brilliantly! x

Hi ladylite, nice to meet you, you have chosen the best place as everyone here is fantastic. Great advice and tips to help you so check out the recipe threads. xxx

Thanks everyone, I have just joined online today.

Just to let you know I cant always get on in the day, the boss is away today, but will make sure I catch up in the evening.

Good luck! I did LL too a few years back. Yes, SW takes longer and is not a 'quick fix' but I have a much healthier relationship with food now having lost slowly over a year than I did losing quickly in 6 months!

Welcome and good luck! :D

hiya ladylite!! what an excellent perspective you have!! thats great having a longer target, its more achievable and keeps your mind on the goal for a longer period of time. I bet the weight would stay off longer too, spread over time x good luck my luvvy x x x

Hi Ladylite

I joined body optimise last year with exactly the same perspective. I set myself a target of going slow as the other diets I had tried in the past had ended with more going on afterwards. I have gradually taught myself to be happy, enjoy what I am eating and not expect drastic results, however nice these appear at first glance.

That was 11 months ago and I have just lost 50lb, have eaten some wonderful food and feel great. Still a lot to lose, but I know I will get there however long it takes.

Good luck on your own journey
