Dark Chocolate.

Wannabe Lean!!!
Ladies (& Jim LOL),

I need chocolate. Big time. My Dad says a few chunks of dark choc is ok as net carbs aren't too bad in it as there is a lot of fibre in it too

I have looked at the back of a bar in the shop and its says per 100g:
Carbs 17.1g
Fibre 13g...so does that mean then for a huge bar of 100g there would be only 4.1g net carbs????

I neeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeed chocolate

Unfortunately not unless the chocolate is american. You only take off the fibre on american made products as our food labelling is different. You need to look at the total carb number as this shows both starches and sugars, both of which need to be counted.
Do you have a boots or a thorntons near you, both do diabetic ranges which are fine for us to have as they have sweeteners rather than sugar.
The thorntons ones are particually yummy. xx

As far as I know, whilst these are low fat, they are also very high in sugar, so not an option for low carb. xx
