Staying on SS+ until goal?

I know we shouldn't do this under cd guidlines, but would it really be that detrimental to my health if I stayed on SS+ until I lost this last 7lb?
Everytime I move up to 810 I go mental with the food! It's doing my head right in, so if I could stay on ss+ until goal then move up the plans?

Thanks

I can't really help you. Can only repeat back at you what you already know but wanted to bump your thread up a bit.

I'm sure a CDC or someone brill will come along soon to answer your question

Well, I don't think a CDC will be along to say that it will be fine ;)

What BMI are you? I guess that since you're figuring you need to be on 810, then BMI25 or close?

Think for a mo (though I'm sure you've done a ton of thinking), but your problem isn't that you are 7lbs from goal. The problem is that you are going mental with food. Do you really think that it will be easier when you are 7lbs lighter.

That you will suddenly be in a controlled food mode just because you are at goal?

It generally doesn't work like that. In fact, it's often the opposite :( Very easy to get out of diet mode the moment the scales announce 'GOAL'.

I know that this is so tough when you get so close to goal, but the calories will still enable you to get there, so it's just the head.

If you want to stay at goal, the sooner you sort out the crazy mode with food, the easier it will be to get there. Don't wait until goal as it will be so much more difficult :hug99:

ok thanks for that. I'm 9st 7lb. I would like to be 8st 7lb, but will reassess when I finally get to 9st.

Honestly, up until getting pregnant I never had a problem with my weight. I have always maintained between 7 & half to 8stone. But two babies in a short amount of time just piled the weight on!
I've not been doing cd properly for a week or so now. Just eating "normal" & I've managed to maintain the 9st 7lb.

It's weird, I think the milk is knocking me out of keto so I just want to eat. I don't know. It's all a bit confusing, I just want to get to goal.

I feel quite pathetic, as I know most people would give an arm to be 7lb away from goal & I'm moaning my bleeding head off!

Yes, that often happens :( Pregnancy changes your body setpoint. It does reset back to pre-pregnancy, but you have to get the weight off within a few months after birth. Of course, it will reset any way if you maintain.

Not at all. Possibly feels like a 2nd prize rather than a first...but that's just in your head. Doesn't always make it easier though.

Have you tried the yoghurt option instead of the milk?

I didn't even know we could have yogurt!!?
Flavoured?

Yes, instead of milk :) On the 810 plan you can have 150g of fat free yoghurt, including 0% greek yoghurt.

Not fruit flavoured though...but even so. Greek yog is lubberly. Haven't tried the 0% myself, but told its really good :)

I love greek yog! I'll give that a go instead then. Thanks for that!

You're welcome. Might keep you in ketosis. Lower carbs than milk I think :)

Best of luck :)

The Total 0% Greek yoghurt is a little pot of heaven  Costs 69p for a 150g pot which sounds expensive but hey 3 of them only costs a little more than 1 single CD bar/tetra.

You can buy big 500g pots too for £1.99 which works out marginally cheaper but I found I kept having a sneaky extra spoonful here and there...not good!

Beware the really big tubs of own brand Greek "style" yoghurt which although are advertised as healthy living/low fat etc still has around 3% fat and contains loads more calories than the 0% version.

i would go onto 810 and try really hard to learn how to manage, look at it as a rehearsal of when you're completely off the diet and living like a slim person..
