2nd wk weigh in

Hiya

I've lost 3lb, bringing my total to 5lb over 2 weeks. I'm not that surprised to be honest and am phasing the diet out a bit now. I'm finding that I don't have enough energy for my running training on the diet. I feel ok in myself but running anything over about 8 miles seems to be really difficult, there just isn't enough energy in the tank!

Anyhow what I am doing is sticking on a shake once a day and then a protein heavy diet with very limited carbs (and only good carbs i.e. no bread / pasta etc) and hope that this will be enough to sustain my training but also keep dropping a bit of weight.

One thing I have noticed is that it has had a big impact on my stomach and I am noticeably smaller. In fact I'm wondering whether my goal is a little off kilter as I am a comfortable size 10 again and am quite happy with that so may not aim to drop another stone.

Anyhow good luck to all and I will hang around as I think the general idea of the diet is good, just not quite right for me at this time.

thats good, well done! i thought this might be quite a hard diet for you energy wise for your running, you are very active, i think your plan sounds good and hopefully it will work, good luck.

Hi - well done and glad to hear those s10's are fitting you - you lucky thing,I can get my s10 jeans on but they're screaming at me just now with major muffin top going on!

I think what you're doing is right, you need the energy for your running. Good luck with it all and well done again x

Hi all, thanks for your support. I'm going to try and stick to the ethos of the diet as much as possible but with my training in mind so carbs are coming back albeit not bread or pasta or white rice etc.

I think with this diet it is also helpful to use clothes as a guide as I do think it is helpful with bloating etc which may not fairly be represented on the scales.
