Can anyone see where I tripped up? Apart from going over syns on 1 day? I will be doing more exercise this week as when hubby is working lates I cant get to pool but have got Aqua on thus, deep aqua on Fri and salsa aerobics on Sun and will try and get a bit inbetween!

I did a complete red week but I dont think thats agreed with me! maybe I should do a green week and see what happens there?

I dont know! Any help much appreciated!

I really want to get my half stone next week!

maybe not enough syns? I remember people saying here that once they upped their syns they lost weight quicker? Especially if you have a bit to lose. But thats the only thing i can think of...seems like you have had a good week? is it near totm?

This looks great to me. Personally, I wouldn't up your syns any higher.

My only question is... where are your HEXAs? Do you use milk in tea/coffee or something that isn't written down?

If things STS again, it might be worth considering throwing a few green days into the mix or having a go at EE.

But, really, I'm impressed that you're being so diligent about writing it all down - including your exercise! I think you'll probably find that it was a blip and you'll have a decent loss next time.

Good luck,
Ste

Its been TOTM for the last 2 weeks - I suffer badly with it! Might not stop for another 2 months now its started - haha (I have to laugh or I end up crying)

I should have said I know I must up my water dont drink near on enough! What do you think about trying a green week?

Hi Ste

No what you see is what I have except water I do have more than the 1.75 lites in the whole week I promise, my HEXb I am ok with but its the HEXa I struggle with as not a bog diary person in any form, I dont drink tea or coffee so no milk! and only like cheese when its melted - Fussy me???? haha.

Maybe I should try just drinking a class of milk a day!

Sarah, if you're not keen on milk, why not try and hide it in things? Use some in scrambled eggs?

Could you do the chicken stuffed with cheese (laughing cow triangles) then wrap it in bacon?

Re the green week, why not do a half an half? some red some green

You definitely need to have your HeA Huni...what about melting 1oz cheese in the microwave and having it with a couple of slices of ham as a snack?
Other that this your diary is perfect, you are eating a variety and thats important, try and eat a little more fruit if you can, but other than that dont worry.
Perhaps you are just having an off week this week and then will see a loss next week? This happens to me all the time and Ive gor used to it now. Just stick to the plan and the weight will come off!!!

I have 6 Red Days and 1 Green Day and that works for me, try varying your days.

I will try it!

I am ok when I have jacket potatoes with cheese and beans so will try and add it in then. I am going to have a look at my previous food diaries and see what looks sensabile, the most Ihave lost in a week is 2lb so might try and recreate that!

Oh I dont know, think I will do more green then red this week maybe 4 green and 3 red and see what happens!

I also pedge to drink at least 2 litres of water a day!

Thanks for the advise peeps.

I think the official advice from Slimming World is that having no HEXA won't affect your weight loss and it is simply recommended for good health, but I'm not convinced.

Weight loss is complex, but we know for sure that being as healthy as we can, including ensuring we are getting enough vitamins and minerals, are an important part of the process. It does take effort for the body to shed pounds and burn fat... and the body is more likely to be able to expend that effort if it is healthy. Sometimes, it has no choice as calorie intake is so low, but oftentimes it needs to be able to make an effort in order to move to burning fat rather than managing with what is provided in food. This is often the explanation given for a plateau.

And so, it makes sense to try and have your HEXas, even if it is just one a day, in order to keep your body in as best shape as possible with calcium in order that it can burn fat.

I think your food diary looks great. If you still struggle after adding your HEXA, shake things up with a few green days. After that, think about speed foods. If you still have no joy, you've always got Success Express.

It's early days yet and you're doing the right thing. You certainly shouldn't put on weight doing what you are doing... and there's loads of options if you're not loosing 1-2lb per week - as above.

Don't worry and keep it up.

Hi Hun

I am new to the site but not new to slimming world. The only other thing that I can think of that hasn't been mentioned is have you had your thyroid levels checked? I have suffered with an underactive thyroid for years and it affected my nerves, my totm and also my weight loss. I really struggled but thankfully it seems to be sorting itself out. Just a thought?

See how your weight loss continues but if things don't change I would get my thyroid function tested.

Regards xx
