Is there a minimum age for CD?

Hi,
My friend has asked me if her son, who is 15 or 16 could go on CD. I would imagine that there is a minimum age but I forgot to ask my CDC so wondered if anyone here knew?

Thanks.

on the back of my tetra it says cambridge should not be used by children under 14. i think there was a thread a while ago about something similar. i dont think your friends son would be allowed to do ss but maybe one of the higher plans. What weight is he if you dont mind me asking?

There is a few cdc's on here who will be able to help :)

thanks for the reply. I don't know his weight but he is definately overweight and very unhappy with it. Thing is I don't know if he is committed enough to do CD or if it is just his mother that wants him to do it! Still, that's nothing to do with me.
Can anyone confirm that it is 14?
Thanks

yeah see thats the thing is it his mum thats pushing it, its hard though when it comes to kids doing cd i dont know but i think there is something not right about it unless he was very very overweight and really wanted to do it himself. he might just be too young.

I will have a look round on cd website to see if i can find anything for you hun xx

As far as i remember you could have someone this age on diet but the cdc works hand in hand with doctor and parent, someone will soon be along to confirm ?
