Hi people
Just wanted to know if anyone has ever had a swollen uvula, you know this thing at the back of the throat. Woke up this morning with a very dry throat and when I took a sip of water to hydrate it, it hurt!
I looked in the mirror and my uvula is all swollen. I checked online, they say that it is mainly caused by alcohol consumption (can't drink), smoking (don't smoke, no one smokes around me) or LACK OF WATER! I couldn't believe it  With all the pints I drink every day. Anyway, I just hope it is not an infection, because I was off sick for a week 2 weeks ago because of a bad case of strep throat and it wasn't nice.
In the meantime, I gargle salted water and aspirin. But my uvula is tickling my throat and it makes me wanna gag all the time: I can't believe I have that :8855:
Anyway, have you ever had this? Does it mean I have to drink even more ? Because I am sure that we are way better hydrated than the average Briton!
