Saved by my dog!

Ok...I nearly gave in...

After lastnights refeed of gammon I now just want to stuff my face full of meat (no comments please!!)....I am aching for a bacon sarnie!

I am cooking sloppy joes, and needed to pop to shop to get some more tobacco. OH says can you pick me up some Beers, so off I go, mince nicely cooking. I get in the shop and panic vodka takes over!!

I really wanted a vodka and coke....but I resisted.

So, I get home and continue cooking, fill the roll get them in the oven and am faced with the leftover mince in gravy.

Arrrgggghhhhh I nearly relented and ate the lot. Instead I saw my dogs bowl was empty and quickly slopped it in before I changed my mind :(

So...chicken soup with curry powder tonight.

And now i'm snapping at everyone because I am resentful of THEIR sloppy joes I so lovingly cooked

Help!!!

Well done you, you did really well to resist (even though you already know that). I was struggling a bit last night too, didn't give or anything but felt a bit down about food and not too happy! Over it now and carrying on. Like someone else said, I think it's a bit of boredom over different tastes and things. Keep up the good work.

They'll be gone in a few minutes...(unlike the lb you'd put on by eating them :D ;) )

Well done to you for resisting :).

Thats a brilliant way of thinking! I will remember that next time I have the urge...thankyou :)

Well done Demaris...

And im sorry to remind you of them.. But what are sloppy joes??? I always remember hearing about them on tv shows but never knew what they were!!

Well done chick :)

My mum has just made a home made curry - my favourite home made meal - and all i did was stand over the pan and smell it and closed my eyes and imagined i just ate it whilst taking in a big whiff ..... does the trick ... as weird as it sounds!! :)

Its ok hun! I can talk freely about them now i've had me soup!

basically you fry off mince meat and onion, then perk it up how you like (chilli, gravy, bolognaise etc), then you hollow out a big bread roll, put the mince mix in, grate some cheese on top, close the roll and wrap in tin foil. Then bake in the oven for about 20 mins.

It is soooooo scrummy (mine used to have EXTRA cheese lol xxx

Even bigger claps for resisting that! :)

Well done for resisting babe, a lesser woman would have given in :)

Well done for resisting lucky you have a dog. When I've cooked something nice for my lot and there are leftovers I cant force on them, I have to empty food in the bin and cover quickly with rubbish in case I delve back in!! XX

haha im sure you wouldnt do that blue-eyes... atleast i hope so lol!! :)

On a bad day have been sorely tempted but have not yet resorted to delving in the bin! XX
