Does This Make Sense?

I am one of the 63336
I have loads of clothes in my wardrobe that I don't fit in to (yet), and am really looking forward to it. BUT I seem to be getting my biggest satisfaction when clothes I'm already wearing fit better.

With the weather being chilly I grabbed a pair of trousers and stuck them on without looking at them properly. I've only just realised that the last time I wore them they were tight when I sat down and especially around my calves. Now they feel fine.

Surely I should be feeling better when I can wear things I haven't before/for a long time!!!

It makes perfect sense, we all want to feel comfortable in our clothes and I remember when I was at my biggest I never did. fitting better into your existing clothes is just like having new clothes

It is so satisfying when you put someting on that was once tight and it fits perfect. I am a comfortable 20 at the moment but i'm soooo looking forward to the day that a 20 is hanging off me lol x

It makes perfect sense :) I have so many clothes that only just fit me, and in the past I've loved the feeling when they suddenly fit properly and hang like they're supposed to. That seems to be what makes people notice my weight loss too! :D

My problem is that I have been living in the same 3 pairs of jeans now for the last 8 months and although I've lost 9lbs, they don't feel any different on me, cos they have so much lycra in them that they just aren't stretching as far now when I put them on lol!

i love wearing clothes that are too big but that once too tight. in fact i spent ages on sunday trying on load of old clothes that are now too big - i find this a bigger incentive than hanging up a beautiful dress which is too small and hoping one day i'll get in it.

It's costing me a fortune, work suites that were new towards the end of the summer are now falling off me!! They cost a fortune!!

When I was out clubbing the other day I was wearing the same skirt I have worn clubbing for the last few months and it actually fell down. It didn't just slip, or fall to my knees, it actually fell all the way to the floor, it's that loose on me. It was really embarrasing but at least I was wearing tights and knowing the reason it happened definitely put a smile on my face and allowed me to see the funny side of it. Next size down, here I come!!

thats really sad (not). you could always put the weight back on and the suits would then fit !!!!
I bet I know that you feel so fab that you would not put that weight back on even if someone offered you a new fat wardrobe

well done,

While you are still losing take a look in Asda and QS for suits. They do quite a good range and very cheap!

Ha ha I bet you were popular that night! I remember one of my denim skirts that I used to wear all through the summer, it was my favourite. Before I got rid of it I put it on and I could wear it as a dress! It even went over my boobs and it was still a bit loose! It is a great feeling!

There's nothing worse than tight clothes is there? Where you feel uncomfortable and like everyone must be looking at you and thinking how gross you look squeezed into something. Nasty.

Baggy clothes on the other hand, feel great. I love being able to pull my jeans down without undoing them!!!!! mind you, bizarrely, I can do that but size 14 are still way too small. Weird!

Well done on your losses, and enjoy the baggies!

I saw on another thread that Asda are starting to do odd sized jeans which will be great for us at the inbetween sizes! I can get a 15!

I've got a pair of size 12 jeans in my wardrobe at home. I bought them when I was a 12 but they were just that little bit tight and wouldn't close. That was in 2001! I never got into them but I've kept them all this time, they are in the wardrobe, just waiting......! It will be the best feeling in the world when I can slide into them!

I love Matalan jeans as they are so stretchy and lots of sizes, lengths and colours all for £10 ...i can get into size 16 and they feel just lovely
