Extra Easy EE as a veggie !?!

Have I got it right having looked at the plan... is that if you are a veggie there is not that much change to the normal plan.

Apart from loosing a Hx a & hx b ? it will be the same veggie foods. I know that meat/fish is included on the EE plan but wont be eating those.

How are other veggies getting on doing EE ?? would love to know.

Have only just started and feeling my way round it.

Thanks x

I don't see much point if you are a veggie. My consultant says EE is great if you use your HEX's as meat/fish on a green day and potatoes etc on a red day really, other than that there's not a lot of point doing EE. It adds flexibility but for you I would say there's no need to switch plans.

I agree. Unless you eat fish you don't have anything to gain from doing EE. You'll actually lose out on one HEA and one HEB. So stick to green.

My consultant told me as a veggie I could do EE, but why would I want to ? I have never tried it and never will as I like have 2 A's and B's and with EE I would lose that option.

I'm not a vegetarian, but I have seen similar posts a few times on a number of different sites.

The only thing I could suggest is maybe try to put the food that you might like to eat the the syns calculator & see if there is a difference with EE.

I thought most of the low fat vegetarian foods were catered for on both green & EE options, but I am no expert. This really is a genuine question (no sarcasm!!)...but what kind of low fat foods do you all think could be included to make the new plan more vegetarian friendly? If they are nutricianally correct, you might be surprised to find they are actually free....never know & I am genuinely just trying to help.

Red days are for your meat/fish so if you're veggie it'll be exactly the same as a green day but with 2 less healthy extras, so you're wasting your time. If you're a veggie and wanting to lose quicker, just eat more superspeed foods.

The only real difference with Syns on EE is that you take the lowest value. The only ones that will be lower on EE than on green would be foods with meat in them therefore no good for a veggie. If you don't eat meat/fish then there really is no point in doing EE

Thanks everyone I kind of figured EE wasnt really for anyone whos a veggie. So will switch to follow the Green days properly and looked forward to extra healthy extras. :D
