I just wanted to say hello and good luck to all our new site members. I have noticed several posts with introductions in but I've not had chance to reply to them, so I'm doing it here, because I really didn't want to seem ignorant :)

Welcome aboard folks, and I look forward to getting to know you around the site.

Good luck on your weight loss journeys!

Yes hello new people!!! I hope you do very well. There's a lot of useful info here so have a look round. There are lots of ace recipe ideas in the sticky up there, as well as masses of syns info too, so if you've got any questions, have a hunt round.

People are brill at answering queries!

Happy slimming :)

Hi there,

I'm new to Slimming World - my husband and I both started today although he's doing better than I am. We're not doing the diet through a club, so I think we'll need all the support we can get! Particularly me - chocolate and crisps are going to be my downfall!

Anyway, just wanted to introduce myself :)

Hello Helen and hubby :) Have you got the books and whatnot? There are a few of us here who go it alone and don't attend a class.

Planning is the key, especially for the first few weeks. I write up a weekly food plan, so I know what days I'm doing and what meals I'm having when. It helps me be organised and know what I can have. Also, write stuff down. Loads of us here keep food or weight loss diaries in the thread up top. It helps loads.

Good luck, I'm sure you'll both do really well.

hello im new to, can anyone tell me how i get to put all the info and piccies on my signature box thingy please thanks

Hi,

Thanks for the advice - I'm sure the hubby will lose it faster as he's so much more active at work than me! I read the post about the Wii My Fitness Coach so I'm thinking of treating myself on pay day! I have made a menu plan for tomorrow, and I'm going to have a go at the 'free' chips.

We bought the books from Ebay after borrowing them from someone the hubby works with. He is doing a weight loss pool at work where whoever loses the most weight wins some money. I lost almost two stone last year but seem to have hit a wall. A friend and I were dieting together and she's lost three stone and counting (and loves to mention it at any available moment!). I really want to lose some more so I'm hoping Slimming World helps!

Helen
