Bio oil?

While happily contemplating my weight loss (!) I was thinking about my stomach.....the outside not the inside!!

My babies were 9lb and 10lb bless em, and I was the size of a house, so needless to say its a bit of a mess. I know I will probably never get rid of this overhang (ugh) but I was wondering if anyone had ever used bio oil? Does it work?

It might also be useful on places like upper arms etc as the weight melts away?

I believe a lot of people use it here - I know Mike Scott (Icemoose) definately used it, probably swore by it. I'm afraid I'm one of those people who buy stuff & leave it to fester in the cupboard which is exactly what is happening to my bottle. I did make my husband put some on a carpal tunnel scar & it seemed to help - but as soon as the irritation stopped he stopped using it so I couldn't honestly say if it reduced the marks

I really like bio oil as I have sensitive and quite dry skin. I use a few drops in the bath, and as a moisturiser. I wouldn't advise anyone to hang all their hopes on it, but it's one of the best products I've used on stretch marks/scars, and a little goes a long way. But they say should be used twice a day for 3 months for best results, so a bit of a commitment! Mama Mio products (esp. tummy toner) are also nice.

Lavender oil is also supposed to be good for scarring... smells a bit nicer than Bio Oil too!

Bio oil is good for scars but as far as loose skin goes, don't think it will help. Is it just the pregnancys that caused it or were you overweight as well?

My daughter had 2 big babies, 9lb 2oz and 9lb 12oz but with doing post natal exercises religiously after each one she was lucky enough not to have any loose skin. Her bumps were all out the front too, I used to laugh at her asI couldn't believe how they defied gravity!

I would like to try bio oil.
Do they work on white stretch marks aswell?
Sometimes i feel like a walking stretch mark, i have white ones on the inside of my arms.
white ones on the front of my stomach. Red ones on my hips and shoulders.

So if bio oil works for any one let me know so i can try it
