Help me, I feel terrible

louiser

Trying very hard!
I have just finished week 4 been going 100% good.

All weekend I have felt terrible, I cant sleep but an so so tired. Every last muscle in my body aches. I am usually one of the first two colours on a ketostix but I have shot up to the darkest one, no less water than normal but have upped it a little to try and help.
I have such a sore throat thats all gunky and horrible.
My head pounds all the time.
My legs itch so much ive scratched them until they started bleeding.
Ever since week two I have experiences sharp stabbing pains in my lower abdomen, always worse when I yawn or take a deep breath in.

Is any of this diet relaited? Can someone help me, I feel so crap and miserable.

Oh, thats such a shame, you sound like your having a horrible time...:hug99:

Im obviously no expert, but it does sound like your coming down with maybe a viral infection or something...I had a similar thing over xmas and felt terrible...Id be surprised if it was CD related...the fact that it has come on all of a sudden.

However, I do think you should go see your Dr, get proper advice and care.

Really hope you feel better soon chick.

Take care of yourself..

Hiya,
Thank you for your reply,

It looks like it could be somethin viral, if so it would probably be a good idea to do SS+ to try and help.

What are the losses like of SS+? How different are they to SS?

Yeah, best get it checked out, better safe than sorry...

I think the losses are pretty much the same, can vary maybe half a pound or a pound, but if your stick to the guidance as to what you can eat and measure it etc...you'll stil get good, quick losses...

Main thing is to get better tho, so do whatever is needed to help yourself with that.

Yes, I had something similar when I was a bit run down so maybe you are coming down with something. If it helps do SS+ or 810 for a bit while you get over it so you have at least some energy? Hope you feel better xx

Thank you for all your replys, I had an ss+ meal last night, you do get quite a bit of chicken, my veg looked a bit pathetic though!
Feel better bodywise today, just my throats all swollen and sore, I dont cope being ill, I do feel very sorry for myself!

Me again,

I finally managed to get to the doctors and have tonsillitis. Its the viral and not the bacterial kind so the only thing she said take was ibroprofen and this throat numbing spray thing. Are you allowed to take ibroprofen on CD?

I also got a free lecture whilst I was there about the fact that this diet is terrible and probably the reason I got ill in the first place and I WILL put all the weight back on as soon as I start eating food again and the only way it will stay off is if I carry on eating very little calories for the rest of my life.
So now not only do I feel really naff but I'm again all worried about my diet choice! I hate going to the doctors!
Whilst I was there she weighed me and I havent lost anything since being weighed over a week ago!

well dr's either love or hate ketosis based diets... a well known fact. There ARE some that love them, so for me that's enough.. I've had lectures off dr's before but honstly.. had you gone there being the weight you were they'd have lectured you I assume...

I sat at my dr's listening to her the other week about my weight and had honestly asked her 'can you help me in any way' she said EVERY weight loss device (pills or whatever) has very real side affects so she refused to prescribe them until such time as my weight affected me greatly... so presumably she'd help if I had diabetis or a heart attack but till I 'hurt' my body enough she refuses.. I did point out the fact that they've been telling me for a year now to lose weight and stop riding following a problem with my back... riding WAS my way of controlling my weight which is partly why i've gained a load back again.

So.. she'd sooner I pop pills for pain, take gavascon for my stomach - as the pills cause stomach ache - and wait for another illnes..

I think CD is the best decision I can make given her reluctance to help me.

I can't say what you should do, only you know that, but hope my ramblings help you realise that you're not alone, that we WILL get nagged in some form or other.. and surely it's better to be nagged at about losing weight than gaining weight.

((hugs))

Hi Louiser,

I'm so sorry to hear how you've been feeling :( If it's any help, my doctor recommended that I do LL or CD, as I have Polycystic Ovaries and am struggling to conceive.......Best advice he's even given me!!
He did say that doctors 'shouldn't really' recommend extreme diets, but the risk of obesity is so great, that losing weight is always a massive plus :)
My CDC advised me to do SS+ and as you can see from my chart, I have managed two weeks and have lost 19lbs. (However, I was mostly doing SS as not having 4 sachets OR meal). I have now started to have a little food. I had a lovely salad last night (rocket, cucumber and quorn pieces, with a low fat dressing - yum!!)
Maybe you could try SS+ for a week or two, and see if it helps get you better quicker. Whatever happens, your health is the most important thing and so long as you are not gaining lots of weight, then not losing any for a week or too won't hurt.

Anyways, sorry to blabber!!

Take care,

Em :)
