2 Questions...

Hi again!

I have two questions... or is it three? Hopefully someone will know the answers...
  1. How long until I am in ketosis and apart from weeing on the stick, how can I tell if I am?
  2. Why do you have to drink LT within 15 minutes of making it?

You will be in ketosis for as long as you stick to the 'diet' and I think the time limit is to keep it fresh and also because when vitamins and powders (proteins and carbs mixed) are made up with water they need to be consumed otherwise the nutrient value possibly decreases...but it shouldn't hurt to leave it longer (how long are you planning to leave them made up?)

I'm only on day 3 of the diet, so was really just wondering how long before ketosis starts... should have made myself a bit clearer!

Re: shakes, I wasn't planning to leave them for an extended period of time, just curious as to the reason why they say 15 minutes... :)
 
Oh yes, oops! You should be in ketosis on day 3 or 4...
 
You will know when you are in ketosis, you may get a bad breath and start feeling cold, although it doesnt happen to everyone. I was at the end of day 3 when I went into ketosis.

yup cold fingers and feets and around day 3/4 as long as you stick to it fully.

I had absolutely freezing cold hands and feet last night, but that was just the end of day 2, could it have happened so soon? I hope so... no bad breath yet though!
 
Some people go into ketosis after 1 day, so you could be in ketosis. I didnt have bad breath for 1 week, even though I went to ketosis on day 3. Its only now I am feeling cold, into the 3rd week. We are all diferent.

I've stocked up on Listerine (strips and mouthwash) in preparation for DEATH BREATH! I did Atkins a few years ago and maaaaaaaaaan was my breath wicked!
 
Ah that explains why my hands and feet are freezing, mainly in the evenings. I think I even had that on day 2 also this week.

Not had the bad breath yet - I cant wait for that one. Better get the listerine strips stocked up too.

The Listerine strips are great... really helpful when you neeeeeeeeed a bit of chewing gum *sigh* I miss chewing gum!
