spud u like / fat jackets

you can make them crispy by either covering them in butter and putting them in the oven or just putting them in the ovan without foil on!
So it could be either way. If you could taste a hint of butter i would syn for them to be on the safe side!

i agree with Karen i believe it's the ovens and cookin without foil
 
I go there when i am in town, well i used to before it shut down, i didn't ever count them as syns, i used to get a jacket with beans and i would have to give the garlic bread away :(

those places are cooking food on a budget so they probably wouldn't smother the outside of the potatoes in butter because that would cost them too much - they have specific potato ovens that cook them just right (we used to have the same thing in our work canteen!). I've eaten in spud-u-like and I think it's fine, I wish there were more of them!

Yeah it's just the oven they use. I want one of those ovens, they make nice spuds! A great place for us SWers to eat
 
personally i like my jakcets soft on the outside, ometimes the ones ig et are like leather
 
my combi oven does brill baked spuds...........think its cos it fan, grill and microwave all at once........spray ya potatoes with frylight and rub a little bit of salt on the skins....:)
 
ummm i love the outside as crispy as it can be yummy! i havent been to spud u like for yr's!
 
Are there any other filling you can have except beans? i'm a newbie and still trying to get my head around the eating plan :D
 
we used to hjave one of these in wimbledon in centre courts shopping centre but its gone! WHen i was at school I used to go there every thursday with my friends and we would have jacket with chicken mayo and sweetcorn and it was lush!!!

Oh god i just realised i could have that on EE BRING IT ON!!!

I do voluntary work in a community cafe and our oven is one of those industrial ones that cook a large batch of jacket potatoes in about an hour and a half. As the others say, it is just the oven and not anything put on them xx

When I go to spud u like theres a light bite meal, you get the jacket with onion and chive cottage cheese and a drink (diet pepsi haha) and its only 3 quid

I love it cos the one in Liverpool is part of a big food court so if my mates wanna go to mcdonalds or whatever I can just get a spud and not feel to tempted to eat crap haha :)
