Confused about water.

:rolleyes:I'm very confused about how much i should be drinking. I keep reading all different amounts! I'm on day 5 of SS now.

I never used to drink very much at all and I'm prone to water retention. I'm only 5ft2 and weigh 18st 6lb (not sure if size makes a difference to water intake).

Since starting CD SS I've been drinking about 4 pints a day plus I've been making my shakes up with a pint of water each (does that count as extra that way?).

I've spent the last 4 days weeing for England, guess thats normal, but is it normal to go then 10 minutes later be busting? Sorry if thats too much info! :D

hiya :wavey:

Cd say you should drink a min of 2.5 litres a day that is on top of the water your mix with shakes :) the peeing thing gets easier trust me!!

Hi I think 4 pints ish is the minimum but if you are adding that much water to your shakes that is ok,our cdc told us to do that to up the water intake
xx

I'm not keen on having the shakes too thick so I make them up to a pint, makes them last longer that way too!

In my new Cambridge booklet it says you must drink at least 2.25 litres, which INCLUDES water in shakes, coffee, tea etc.... Is that a misprint?! xx

Nope 2.25 litres is what the booklet recommends.
It is ok to add more water to your shakes/soups to help with water intake.

Also, don't forget you need to have an extra half pint of water for every tetra or bar you have as these obviously don't include as much as the packs.

I drink 3-4 litres a day. I was weeing for England too when I started but after the first week I was fine. Remember you are losing some water plus getting rid of the water you are drinking in the first week. All the best x

As others have said your water intakes looks fine. Making up the shakes with extra water is a good way of upping your intake.

If you suffer from water retention the best thing you can do is try and drink more water. Your body will then be happy to let go of the excess.
