Mummies with tummies slim fast blitz!!

Hi i thought it be a good idea for mummies with tummies to have their very own slim fast thread!
I have 3 children and have never lost all the post baby weight ,but 2009 is going to be the year!! :D
So if you are in the same situation and would like to join me ......... come on board.
Right my starting weight is; 12st 7 lbs
My goal is; 9 st 7 lbs by end of the summer.........

Day 1;12/1/09 - 12st 7 lbs
Day 7;19/1/09- 12st 2.5lbs:eek: loss;4.5 lbs

Hiya Im Jen and I think I am an ideal for the mummies with tummys I have spent the last 9 years recovering and yoyo-ing through 3 pregnancies
  • Preg 1- Rob now age 9 post preg weight up to 20 stone from 14stone
  • Preg 2- Matt now age 6 post preg weight 25 stone from 20 stone
  • Preg 3- Kate now age nrly 4 post preg weight 23 stone from 20 stone
I have spent the last couple of years going up and down the 20s..........

2009 is finally going to be the year I can walk around mothercare without being asked when Im due.
I started SF last week weighing 19 stone ( finally under 20 stone never to go back)
My goal weight is to be 14stone before my wedding (dec) as thats what I was pre any babies but ultimately I would love to get to 12 stone.....xxx

I know how you feel ...unlike you my baby isnt a baby any more and I found myself lying to strangers about her age to make excuses for my size.

Im finding the SF ok but Im doing it an unusual way but splitting my 600 cal meal into two meals so I have 200 cals at lunch and 400 cals at tea. Means when Im at work I can eat eg. a chicken salad and no one needs to know Im doing SF. No one other than my hubby knows as I dont want it to be seen a another failed diet attempt. I love the bananna shake too just wish they did them in 6 packs :)

Hi girlies!

I think this is the thread for me!! I have a daughter who is 9, and while i didn't put on much weight during my pregnancy, I more than made up for it afterwards!!

Welcome Samantha :)
I always found the first six months were my worse for zooming up...so busy not sleeping and constant feeding...just didnt notice my maternity clothes still being used with out a baby in them x

mum & 3 kids

hiya, i've got 3 kids too and look at other women with babies that are half the size of me and mine are now 12, 10 and 9! I knew that i wanted another quickly after the first so wasn't too bothered about getting rid of the weight as going to have more, so got bigger and bigger and bigger! Finally i've decided that i want to be a yummy mummy and am giving it my best shot.

Just had my first way in 2day and i lost an amazing 10lb. I know a lot of it was water but hey ho i'm not complaining. x

Hi girls. Would Slim Fast be a good way to kickstart a Weight WAtchers diet? I've never tried either before.
My daughter is 14 months (Haha, almost typed 14stone there!), but I can't blame her for the weight, as I went down to almost 13 stone when I developed Gall Stones after my pregnancy. Got the bladder out, started eating crap again and now I'm almost 15 stone. :(

hi, i don't know a great deal about dieting, all i can say is that slimfast does seem to work (at the moment anyway while i'm still keen!). i think the principle is the same as weight watchers but without the point system as they are both calorie counted with sf having the shakes and ww everything having a value so making you eat smaller and healthier portions. hope this helps x

Hi all

I have 2 small children, 3 & 1, so it means i dont get out to the gym much but have just invested in a wii best thing ever for me as I do some every night once the kids have settled. I was always heavy but after my son was born I weighed 18st 3, Im now 16st 2 so a bit better but would love to be 14st by October :) once a child is 1 its too hard to blame on baby weight lol

Hi staysee,:wave_cry:
Well i find it a great combination!
I mix and match, normally have sf shake & bars and then a w.w meal or snacks too as i'm a picky eater.... give it a try for a week and i bet you'll see results!!

Hi everyone - can I join too?

I have two children Bradley which is 6 and Katie who is 2. After Bradley I lost all my pregnancy weight in four months (which was about five stone on slimfast (I actually gained eight and a half stone during my pregnancy)) and after Katie, whilst I did not gain as much with her it took me eighteen months to get motivated.

Last year I started my diet in January and decided to have a break whilst I was off in August and have had trouble getting back on it again. I have ordered my wedding dress in a size 14 (which was my size when I fitted) but I don't think it would fit me now and I need to get the weight back off.

Good luck everyone.

Tish

Hey everyone,
I'm not on slimfast but just wanted to say good luck to everyone from a fellow mummy of 2 little girlies 20 months old and 9 months old.
I'll be keeping my peepers on this thread to see all you yummy mummies emerging. :)

hi everyone, thanks Mrs_Hill2B, its nice to hear encouragement as even though i seem to be handling the daytime part cos i'm usually busy the evening is hard. i wait for my husband to come home from work which is about 8pm and i'm about ready to bite his hand off with hunger! if it helps anyone sainsburys had the best deal on the powder shakes down to about £2.18 a tin nearly £1 cheaper than tescos with their 3rd off! i bought enough tins to last me 4 months so i have to stick with it.

i haven't got my head round yet about what to eat as a main meal, it seems just to be salad as its the safest bet and i have the whole 600cals worth so a huge plateful with ham and 3 pots with a blue ribband as a snack for pudding but don't think i can stick this for 4 months. x

Welcome!
WOW!what an acheivement,5 stone in 4 months- if i could loose half that amount in that length of time i'd be dead proud.Dont be so hard on yourself, you are better off starting fresh when you know it's time ,not when you feel expected to loose it.

My youngest is 8 months and it is only now that i feel ready to tackle my weight.Us poor mammies are expected to carry a child, continue on as normal and to loose all the weight in record time but the reality of it is we are busy loving and nurturing our babies/children so it is only when we ourselves feel ready and motivated will we 'battle the bulge'.

You have now made up your mind that you want to shed the weight so you will be more motivated and determined to see your goals through.
The best of luck to you,and if you have any tips to share with us starters please pass them on!:p

hi girlies, just wanted to say that i'm on my 2nd week now and still doing ok. there have been days though when cooking the kids tea, or seeing yummy snackie things in the fridge i really have to pull in that self control and take a couple of glasses of water and walk away!

I keep a 2 litre bottle of water in the fridge so when thats gone i know i've had my quota for the day, even though i seem to be weeing every 1/2 an hour which is a pain, hopefully it helps.

Just keep thinking on how you want to look to be happy in yourself and go for it. take care x:D
